I almost hate to do this, it’s a bigger advantage then tree stands and crossbows ! But it’s time .

this is a rather sudden and dramatic drop. I used to go from 100% to like 98% while sleeping over night , now I loose 25%. Screen brighteness has been lowered , will bring my external battery . Its lasting better since it died and was charged to 100 %, one more round of that should help from what I’ve read . Back to the woods, nothing yet ....

Ya did that . I shut it off at 34% so if needed I could turn on and use . I turned it on and it went to the red line battery and shut off dead . it died while turned off

The heaters in this car work well for drying socks , I’ll be heading in soon, with luck I’ll be able to cross drainage ditch ... My iPhone battery dies super fast now ,so I won’t post much , need to calibrate the battery from what I’ve read ?

Nothing from stand , but limited view in here . Same buck feeding in cut corn on walk in . One reason I like going in when I can see a bit ,I was able to slip past without busting him .

Staying all day , minus lunch break . Just parked, accident on 490 East cost me some time , my longest walk in too....

Well at least o got the trails cleared via leaf blower . One of the best things I’ve ever done on the land. Slip in silence, don’t have to walk guests to stands,or worry they’ll walk all over looking for it , and oddly enough the deer will be walking it or parts of it within a day or two .

So nothing but stars in Webster. , light mist in Victor , then rain at my spot wtf. Sodfather May have been right..... So cool, it’s only raining where I hunt!

I used to send 50 - 100 12 ga slugs down range prior to deer season and an equal amount over the spring and summer . Since rifle opened here I bought a .270 and shoot a couple boxes prior to,the season . I have my own range on our land and after a morning bow hunt , I'll shoot a bit . The farthest I've shot a deer with the .270 was 60 yards , if I was taking longer pokes I'd practice way more .

I shaved my head for the get together, this was a few minutes prior .

Here's how to not only stop,them , but get them turned the right way .Also how to get them used to hunters as well .

No rain here at home but strong winds . I'll be out Tue.AM and all day , Wed.for sure . Off till 4 PM Nov 9th .

Me too but only because my shoulders are shot and some days I can't even draw my compound . To me I'd rather use my compound , light easy to carry and I can shoot 360 around my tree. That Xbow is heavy and bulky , frankly I think it'll be a pain to use of of a stand . Dont give a rats a$$ about speed, two bows in 30 years of bow hunting , my "new" bow shoots around 240 fps I think , still easy to kill bucks every year . I also,don't get the whole " busted while drawing " thing . Drawing is very little,movement , one arm going 12-15 inches straight back , nor much movement . Standing , reaching for bow on hook is far more movement .

Worksharp makes many systems . The Guided Worksharp , non motorized non belt system is a nice cheap way to go and will get really good edges on your blades . But be advised the motorized belt ones will change your edges to a convex one . Good for some types not for all .

Tc , for $7 Buck will restore the factory edge and polish the blade . I had the same knife but the saw/ gut hook was a seatbelt cutter / pry blade , the liner lock was prone to failure on mine . Knife guys call it a spine whack test, open the blade and somewhat lightly tap the back of the blade on a wood block or kitchen counter , the lock should hold not fold .Mine would fold on a light tap on the palm of my hand .

Yes with all my hang ons . Good going making the closed loop out of a smaller diameter line , that's the proper way . Fun fact the Prusik knot is not the closed loop itself or the double or triple fisherman knot used to close the loop, it's the actual " wrap " used on the main line .
