That’s awesome , we get enough cold around here ! Next week Thur - Sunday mornings look good to me too ,comfortable sit ,pleasant afternoons at home . Although I can’t do more then two mornings in a row anymore . Actually I can’t do two of many things anymore .

Good luck with getting that buck, he’s still around and looks “ ok .” Speaking of luck , we make our own good ,bad or dumb . I’m mentoring my young neighbor who took up bow hunting ,well hunting as he never hunted anything prior . On the drives down and walks out ,we talk . The first day it was about distance, shot placement , the deers position ( front quartering would create bad luck….) shooting at relaxed deer and practicing through the season . Pay attention to those and you’ll have “ good luck .”

Decentralized storage is your friend , very little is here , bank safety deposit box, relatives Graffunder safe ,and our camper in storage is set up like the one in The Accountant . Same with my guns and ammo . Good luck tonight ,,I’m done till the end of next week . All the crops around me have been harvested , corn was gone before bow started ,it’ll all be turned over or covered in manure soon ,that always moves many off my spot ,lots of yotes and few doe ,should be fun ….

4 bucks this morning at from 8:15 to 10:15 all 60 yards downwind ,3 moving S-N , 1 N-S .couple decent 8s together, one was pretty fat I’d shot him so I can take a 3 1/2 weeks break till gun . Getting up at 5AM a couple times a week is getting old. Raked a path on way out , this one is a a good 150 yard walk through woods with lots of sticks . i think I’m at 15 buck and zero doe this year , the zero doe I’m positive of . Buck has an error of plus or minus a couple . Next hunt maybe Friday .

That’s a bit harsh dot you think Brad, just because we may have different ways we wish to hunt ? Myself I could never wear those sleeves, I like to see my Rolex’s and play with pocket change ,on stand .

I can’t pull the trigger on Sitka even with my 40% off ! My neighbor who I’m mentoring, after his third hunt today said. “ they sure market hard at hunters .” My dads entire deer gear fit in his coat pocket , I look at all the crap I got and for what ? Everything is up , just paid $70 for lunch for two ,sandwiches and one beer each . Hell it cost me $1000 to find out what our land is worth .

My neighbor is in my best stand , which he found himself this morning ! He just had four unknowns cross beans and into thicket that’s 8 deer for us between 8 and 9:15 . we’ll sit as long as he wants , it’s his third hunt ever , and he goes back to work tomorrow night

Crisp clear morning very little wind . Neighbor passed on a fork and I’ve had two skippers , coyote got them stirred up ! I though a big buck was coming but neighbor said a coyote . I’ve deployed the heated vest ! And drew back twice to keep shoulder loose

I did some research and bought a good one lol, but it seems one flaw is bumping it often turns it on . I just dropped my 30,40 yards pins to bottom of the sight to get them out of the way , then staged bow ,pack ,harness and boots in garage . Yep it was on …

Ya used to dive, we would spit on the inside of the mask, some would rub a potato on it, but there also is a commercial product to,prevent them from fogging . Im leaning towards single pin , all these other add ons come with their own issues . Back to the woods !

I’ve got three trailer tires to sell , low miles, spare is new , if you want to sell them for me , I’ll be in Buffalo Sunday for brunch ….

My friend is having the same eye problem, and said the same thing about them . I don’t bow hunt in the rain for the most part . Next year if I’m still bow hunting , I’ll try a single pin,and perhaps a larger one so I can see it better . I never shoot past 20 yards anyways , so 30 and 40 yard pins go unused even in practice . I can see them if it’s bright out , low light I loose them fast , the light made another whole problem .

Yep, I’ve heard of them , if I can find a local shop with them ,that may be something for next week . Can they install them right then and there ?

Good luck . I’m sitting out till Friday AM, then it’ll be a few more days till next hunt . Bought a light for my pins ,never knew such things existed , so they’re brighter in low light now , trouble is there’s now two green,two yellow, and two red ones ,and they’re all bigger and blurry … So if I get lucky and can actually draw the bow, I now have a choice of three more pins that aren’t really there .

Sorry John , I see the tailgater as the antagonizing Karen . There’s zero reason for it , none , it’s dangerous and their tough guy driving can be upsetting which is their entire goal . Im largely a number three lane driver, sometimes like on 590 where there’s on/off ramps every half mile I’ll be in the #2 lane to leave the #3 open for merging . I’ll be going whatever the traffic speed is ,there’s one or two lanes to go around ,so do so . Speaking of 590 , going south it splits , and if you need to go 490 East you need to be in the #1 ( fast ) lane at the split . What happens is if a “ slow “ driver waits to the split , nobody lets them in , so they get over miles back, and drive their slower speed, which then enrages the “ fast “ drivers who tailgate and take risky chances passing . It’s really quite funny , if you “ fast “ drivers had any courtesy and let them over at the split this would all be avoided .

The anti gun organizations all said the new Credit card category and monitoring for guns and ammo is a good , “ first step .” I take them at their word . Ny’s system is just another way of looking at what we buy / own and a clear peak at a new path we’re going down . Im well stocked, and buying more, much of it is stored offsite . I’m also buying ammo for my son-in-law as I can afford to buy more then he , I keep “ his ammo “ here at my place . When they visit us in Fla over the winter we hit a few gun shops , but I mostly order online and have it shipped to the rental.
