Can’t you let me just hate on the Yankees in peace ? Btw i loved Matt, he was about the only Cardinal who interacted with the fans . He’d always grab a ball coming off the field and toss it to a kid . id love a Yankee vs cards WS, seeing how we swept them in inter league play this year

I get what you’re saying , but I hang out and visit with my processor I consider him a friend and have seen countless deer processed there . One guy per hanging deer, meat goes on the table next to it and is wrapped up labeled and bagged by that same one guy , no assembly line type stuff . It’s like a group of hunters all cutting up their own deer at separate stations , in the same large room . Call me when it’s ready I’ll be smoking a cigar in the hot tub texting my hunting buddies . if someone is unsure , just hang out drink a beer and visit for an hour or two , you’ll see what’s what . Visiting there is one of my highlights of the season

Didnt watch the ad , but on a side note I’m absolutely amazed kids are not accidentally shooting each other everyday in Rochester . The most violent city in NYS and second in the country per capita for murders , they take guns off criminals of all ages daily , they’re turned loose and arrested multiple more times again with guns . Safe storage or learning gun safety from dad is not a thing there , hell they don’t even carry in a holster, it’s all Mexican carry . Yet few accidents it’s odd .

Ya I wouldn’t do weekly picks, a set number plus yourself and it runs the season . Idk its difficult, some hunters crush deer every year , we’d all pick the same few guys , weekly does eliminate that, but it’s much more work . im at a loss

Last years was fun ,and although the seasons started , perhaps we could come up with one that starts idk maybe Oct 15 or so ? What are your thoughts ? Mine are for simplicity we pick a set number of hunters that we retain for the season , start date till end of ML ? id also like guys to be able to pick themselves, plus idk 5 others ? Points , 1 for doe, one for a buck plus his antler points , seems off to me, I don’t think a 1 1/2 8pt is worth 9 doe , 3 for a doe 1 for a buck plus antler points ? Maybe start with a list of guys willing to be picked ? So we know they’ll post their kills Just random thoughts , please share yours , I know zero about fantasy sports or how it’s done , help !

Been saying that myself for years ,and consider that in large areas of the country pools are closed for longer periods then they’re open , and the gun is there 24/7/365 .

Hunted AM, saw a very nice buck walking slow through the woods at 7:30 . Next up will be Thursday AM . Not much of an afternoon guy this time of the season . No hair gel , due to no hair ….

Slob just moved through behind me about 70 yards out . Mass, height and width, just took his time, moving through .Nice to see him on his feet well into daylight . I headed in this morning just as I could start to see, saw a lone big body in a field that I was able to avoid spooking Warmer then they said.

Same . My young cop neighbor got a bow this year and is being mentoring by a guy he works with . He came over today as I was shooting ,we talked for quite awhile , I had two block targets out, one with a BH in it and one with three field points, my first question was has he been shooting BH ? Yes . Good , but not on his bag target at home , I said come over and shoot my block anytime . Then I went on to front quartering , broadside ,and rear quartering with details on each and aiming for the exit hole , I said absolutely no front quartering , and shoot at a relaxed deer not spooked one . A new Hunter needs confidence and that comes from close shots and still broadside deer , my two cents . And yes I’m taking him to my spot .

That school is 20 miles from my spot , you can hunt with me if you wish on Sat. Afternoon . West as well straight shot down 5/20 . we’ll have to meet in the middle so I can blindfold you and take your phone .

NYS rifle and pistol assn. brought the Van Bruen the case to the Supreme Court . Seems like the place to start . . The 1791 Society who may be based out of the Buffalo area, are pretty active in NY gun rights and politics . You can find them on FB, I joined and gave them some $ . scope ny . Shooters committee on political education .

It’s rare for me to bow hunt afternoons outside of the rut , when most bucks I’ve killed have been with a good hour or two of light left . Little to no interest in tracking , dressing , dragging in the dark on “ last light sits .”

Some bbq joint in Leroy awhile back, my son in-laws band played that night . 1/4 rack of ribs, 1/4# pulled pork, 6 smoked wings, pork and beans, tomato salad , corn bread , apples. $25. Awesome !

Good luck fellas , I’ll be watching from the hot tub cigar in hand . Might hunt a morning or two next week idk . Yesterday I sat in the stand ,left shoulder hurt so much not sure I could raise the bow, hip hurt, back hurt , could barley straighten up after picking up seat cushion off the ground , tripped almost fell, doing so . All I could think of was being home and eating dinner and watching a baseball game .

This one’s been in the woods id guess ten years straight , no issues, I’ve got a few more not quite as old, they’re fine too . I did buy some spare “ seats “ just in case ,because that’s how I roll . I also bring a seat cushion as I’m all about comfort. My patio furniture have the same web type seats , they’re been outside year around 15 years or so .
