I plan on breasting them out most likely. I just don't know if I want to try and eat something that I have to drown in flavor. I will keep in mind not to eat the meat closest to the bone.
I am hunting geese for the first time this year. I will be eating them but have never tried it before. Can anyone tell me what the meat is comparable to? Along with its consistency? As in greasy or dry? I was looking at the game recipes and found people like to make sausage and pulled pork type recipes. Sounds odd for a bird. I think I am stuck on the idea of it being like turkey meat.
Yes. But you made it a point to call him out and tell him you were personally going to run and tell the DEC that he kicked apples into a pile underneath an apple tree. IMO that is considered trolling.
And, he isn't bringing an outside food source into a new area. Nor did he grab up all the apples around and place them in one area. The deer would have been ten feet away, if not in that same spot, eating apples anyway.
You stated that you called and told on him. Maybe you should have asked before assuming. IMO it's not some horrible offense to kick some apples around under an APPLE tree to catch a better pic of a deer.
My uncle used the Thunderheads for years before the mechanical outbreak. Now he uses rage. As far as I know they didn't cause any problems. Killed lots of deer year after year. Never used anything else.
I personally would get rid of em! I have a family in my3 acre pond and a bunch of chopped down trees due to them! Pain in the arse! BTW is there a rule if your dogs get after the babies?? JW
Rage! I used the rage two blades and had a solid 5 inch gash at impact... Muscle was more like 2 and some change. Broke through bone at a quartering towards and almost made it out the other side. A lot of haters out there but I tell ya... I love em!
Yea I hugged it right up against the woodline. Wouldn't get direct sun until after 11 or noonish. Grew just fine. The stuff grows like a weed. BTW I planted it Mid August.
