My aunt just informed me that there are threats being made on two different schools in my area for tomorrow (friday). The school called her to inform the parents and did not give any specifics. I feel like Putting on the uniform and going straight Marine Corps status outside of these schools on any mother F*#!er that wants to try. Now is the time to step up and volunteer for this. It gets me heated just reading all of this crap about threats on schools.

Marlin xL7 .223 or Savage axis??
Renegade Hunter replied to Renegade Hunter's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
I have looked on buds and you cant beat a rifle as accurate as that for sub 300 dollars. However I did look on boyds and can't find a replacement stock for the Axis. I dont think they make one. Something about a part involving recoil being built into the stock. I want to be able to costomize and build this thing. Make it an eye catcher. I can find one for the savage 11 but you are talking more money and the wife has me on a budget -
I just dont understand the argument lol. Why would you leave a 5, 6, 700 or higher priced bow in the middle of the woods when you could take it with you? It makes no sense at all. Even if I had to go through some thick stuff I wouldnt leave it behind.

Marlin xL7 .223 or Savage axis??
Renegade Hunter replied to Renegade Hunter's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
I would definitely put a nice scope on it. I feel that an optic can make or break a good rifle. Probably the Nikon Prostaff also with the BDC... I do like the look of the savage axis also. A lot of people think that it is ugly but I see it as unique. And I hear they are tac drivers... ugh. I think I will go look at some tomorrow and see which one feels better in hand. -
I dont see the point in leaving it in the stand to battle the elements?? A bow doesnt weigh very much so its not like you are lugging it out of the woods.

Well I plan on getting a new coyote gun real soon and am completely stuck between the two. At first I was dead set on the savage for their accuracy but read a couple mixed reviews regarding the hollow stock and long action. Then I checked out the Marlin, Which is an equally non-bank-breaking gun and seems to have extremely good accuracy as well as the accu trigger. And I found a good stock I can costomize it with (wooden thumbhole)... Any opinions on either would be much appreciated.

Coyote Weapon of Choice
Renegade Hunter replied to Five Seasons's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Is it legal to hunt them with dogs in NY state? -
Bucks chasing does might take some of that fat off?
-
Gotta go where the bucks are! lol
-
Cheers to that.
-
Congrats! I like his almost crab claw look on the left side. real nice buck.
-
Yea.. Same curvature with the left tine but the right tine looks a little more curved on one than the other. And the velvet buck is def wider by the looks of things.
-
Congrats! Always a great feeling to knock one down like that!

For Sale/trade a pro series PSE Dream Season. 50-60 lb limbs and set at 29.5 inch draw at the moment but can obviously be adjusted. EXTREMELY FAST BOW and hits real hard. I love it and am not over eager to get rid of it but want a new rifle to play with. Looking to get 500 firm or a nice rifle/shotgun out of the deal.

Any trades? For a bow maybe?? PSE Dream Season

Agreed. lol.

He said 27 degrees at night. Meaning that was the temperature at night. And the ice never melted even with higher temps during the day
