Belo I dont think people are trying bully trophy hunters. What we are saying is there are many types of trophies and it's not up to someone else to define that for anyone else. In the same line of thinking trophy hunters shouldn't be bullying others into having to choose to hunt, what they, trophy hunters, choose to hunt using excuses such as herd health.

Not me...I've mentioned that numerous time... I do find whole heads but that's like 1 every so many years.

More than once I've had 2 buck' s walk by and shot the smaller ...best shot angle..ect,etc...... 1 a nice 8 followed buy a big 10 2 my very first bow buck a absolute monster,I do mean monster of a buck 20 yrds wouldn't turn..he had a 9 opposite him 30 yrds angling toward me and the 7 I shot running into challenge him 3 a huge 8 I passed for a smaller injured 7 that went to the DEC for a new tag. 4 A 6 over an 8 I feel sad for some of you...

So I had to take this from a distance too much to walk through..Anyways I found just a few, the others are buried in there, but note those cane wooden chairs...They were a birthing gift from Mr B to me, set of 6, when I had our first child...she turns 35 in a few weeks. They were for me to refinish and cane the seats...Someday I actually will get to them... Though right now they are holding other future projects from around the same tome frame...in case your still not getting the point the chairs actually mean a million times more to me than those racks. BTW the one I broke off the bucks head with the tractor bucket..memory...I shot the 8pt 2 weeks after hand surgery fixing a partially amputated finger...bow hunt with hand wrapped in a mitten of gauze...

Keep trying because...40 or so years of hunting and a bunch of racks hanging off wires in a basement or garage ceiling waiting to be used as craft material show only one importance...useful material...I collect fencing and wood I collect odd pieces of wood shipping materials packing crates...They mean nothing more to me than racks from deer I shot say 30 years ago I haven't payed attention to for 20 years other than to move out of the way..I still have my years books...doesn't mean I cherished my high school years..I have never been to a reunion and they use to call and practically beg me to go...you are so clearly grasping at straws.

Because I am a collector...I collect things to be used for later projects and Mr. B wanted to save them as a project for him...he bought some cherry plaques a few years ago to mount a bunch of my racks...that's his deal which he has yet to do.....me I'll eventually make something out of them...I have a bucket of racks and some heads I have found...I even made that 8pt into a skull mount. Only to see if I could ,how long it would take and how it would turn out...It is sitting behind the big screen TV in the PC room collecting dust ...I have one mount only and it's the 6pt the old guy I killed it for, so he'd have food for the winter...I gave him the whole buck rack and all...he cut off the rack and mounted it on scrap wood he had ,stained and varnished it. It will be the only rack I cherish. That was a great hunt as well for many reasons. I have more picture of my doe kills than my bucks and as I have stated many times over many years on this site I have no need of racks the picture do just fine. These could go on for a long while... I have been hunting a long long time. As I said I have had many a great hunt and as most people I do enjoy the memories. I also enjoy knowing I can share those memories with my grandson through pictures. Teaching him what really matters in all of those picture, shot placement and clean kills. The one thing he will be able to take pride in as a hunter as I do. See Chas neither of us have the ability to actually grow a rack...So there is really no pride to be had in how big a rack is on the deer we shoot...but how well we kill it is something to take pride in. Things being lost to apparently today's deer hunter.

3 1/2 more like it and the finger lakes region...though just that comment tells me even you should know this 8N region has no earthy reason for AR's. PS younger than the buck in the Gator and actually smaller body as well. Look at his head shape compared to the gator buck. Though that wasn't the point of the post...

Thanks Stubby..I think Chas won't answer that post so I just tell why I posted it...The buck was hanging on the pole. When person drove in and his only comment to me was "imagine how big he'd been next year". Now that out of all the things people have said stuck with me. It didn't diminish my experience because...well his rack 2012 is still hanging from a wire in the garage like all my other bucks...that or the basement rafters. I do not have mounts made and I measure nearly all my hunting by shot placement...That was a great hunt. Dang near all my hunts over the last several decades have been Great hunts. Though if I were a person of a different mind set that passive aggressive comment could have diminished the experience another hunter could have had shooting the same buck. That is the reason it stuck with me...the smallness in another persons being, to feel they need or have a right to act that way.. This is the type driving AR's and it disturbs me, that there are so many of them out there.

Oh I call in tons of hens with my vocals. OMG they are more fun than the Toms in my book...As I've said in the past I have actually gotten them literally hopping mad..lol but they always bring in the Toms...only single Toms I've ever killed were the ones closer to noon when hens are on nests, that or over hen decoys

I'll even show me in the picture and be honest in saying (not happy about it but that's life) I'm not a small woman and I'm wearing 4 layers in this picture...it was around 10 or so degrees out. that should give you an idea of body size. How would you age him seeing a full picture. I'll tell you the reason for this post after you answer.

Woman have been big hunters in this part of our state, at least, since before I was born. My grandmother and many others. Actually woman that have since past of old age and are now in their late 70's-80's...I am on a few hunting forums from across the country, with many woman my age and older that have hunted most of their lives. ..it use to surprise me but not any more. I have also met and spoken with a large number of young woman that have gotten into hunting, then have gotten their boy friends into it.

BINGO ,DING,DING,DING,DING There it is in a nut shell, power pure and simple. It's is exactly why they got together in the swinging _ _ _ _ clubs and are attempting to by pass the DEC...LOL get out the old label maker and paste as many labels as you can on this thing, but it's all about power. It started with talking some friends and even neighbors into doing what you(general term) wanted.Then grew and the more power that was felt in you(general term) having control, the more you wanted it to spread. More organizations ,hunting clubs blah, blah, blah. Because well, no one likes being the odd man out and hey years of guys making snide off hand remarks about what one feels is a PERSONAL trophy..is an effective bucket of cold water,as it were. I mean go to the other thread and take a good look at the latest snide comment one member made to another. Perfect example when getting out that tape measure and measuring your own bone doesn't do it for some of you guys any more, you need to search out others to measure. What good is it if they aren't as close to yours,where's the competition in that! JMO ...Well and a good number of years watching men...woman aren't much better, just look at Hilary. Now that's probably the best comparison I could have come up with here,come to think about it...
