Well congrats on a great bow season...and nice deer...Glad you were tired and not grumpy..I couldn't imagine not being very happy with a buck like that...BTW the bacon looks sooooo GOOD!!
-
Well it looks like I'll be buying my ML tag this year...Maybe I'll use it in the swamp opening day...of gun season...I just realized in the second picture just a tad high and your left of center is the crave stone of the person who's land we bought...They had asked permission the use our land to access a grave site...I said Ok and cleared a trail for them to bring in a small front end loader...I had to laugh when they placed her right infront of my hunting stand on the property line...Probably why the estate finally followed her wishes ((will) and sold the place to us if the nephews didn't want it..I suppose I can say I am never hunting alone there....lol

Snowing pretty good niw...time to go get tags..

I love this section, but corn has really shut down it's activity. Buck use to cruise this ALL of the time. Not now I fear. Doe no longer here with field empty. Lots of squirrel though ..It is So COLD! But beautiful out.
-
35 and a light East wind..I have a 3 hour rain free window before the skies open for rest of day throughout tomorrow..trying a section unhunted as of yet. ..winds are killing me not good for best stands...definitely not swamp...With rains I may need waders to reach stand there any how. Good luck all.

Haven't had a trick or treater in 23 yrs...I just laugh at the money we've saved...

Watching that 4pt. Feed broadside 10 yards from end of lane ay stand...8 mins to go and no other deer...Oh well saw one.and he was in range for a bit..of course wind has now stopped
-
4 pt just came in
-
Cold windy and I can now glass a long ways into nieghbors swamp.Lets hope they smell the scents I put out and or enter the lane way here. Man some great bedding in there.
-
Only because when starting out I had a 50 yr old Kodiak recurve 45#'s...My archery guy set me up with a new string and 2115 Easton lites. He had major concerns about my shooting because of the bows age...and had me checking those limbs every time I was out and after every shot...Once I shot my 7 pt he really wanted me to retire it and I did...So Just a thought....

Your right you are blocked but I had HAD to see what stupid comment you would come up with... FYI'' The e-mail sent to me was in response to...I PHONE CONVERSATION that lasted over 40+ mins. Now as I mentioned and your so desperately trying to infer ...I said you'd say I was lying...WOW I'm shocked out of my socks!

Give up Culver They'll just drag it out...NOT 30 pages...But probably 11 like the "other thread" It really is pointless.

I'm not up on baits...they apparently have so many...On here.... we had a thread not long ago with at least one recipe for the spray on stuff..then saying the deer follow them in eating the leaves it was sprayed on....just as illegal I had a neighbor tell me a few years ago how great donkey juice(?) was. They just spay it on the vegetation as they walk in and the deer follow eating the greens... His face went blank when I said "you know that's illegal right?"
-
OK Well unless they have produced corn that is the same size and shape as fallen leaves it actually isn't. The kindle has it's faults but the dang thing can sure blow up a picture.... all that yellow is the shape and size of all the other surrounding leaf cover...
-
And here is the first good snow arriving now....
-
I didn't know they had calls for squirrel. Experience tells me if I want to see squirrel ...All I need do is grab a bow and sit in a tree...I'm covered in them
-
NO KIDDING...still sipping that first cup and about to get another Mr B cradled my face this morning before leaving and said.." Awhhh you poor thing you look so tired and forlorn" I said .."It's been a miserable season this year"....
-
Just at close last night had a doe and 2 fawns pop out of the neighbors swamp...they walked his hedge row staying tight to the edge to block wind..would not go to his open lane way or cross to our open field they'd been feeding in all fall. I watched as they fed on wild grape then crossed to the other neighbors giant Norway, behind that is my swamp and another neighbors swamp that has pine lining it.....If they have food they are staying in cover...and low out of winds. Winds have calmed, I should head out to a blind...
-
If it rained there like it did here...rough. I'd think unless he fell closer than they thought...hope he finds it. Why I have headed out at midnight to track deer.
-
LOL...that grew wings and flew right over my head... BTW Merlot...I'm not out there yet not sure yet if I'm going but...Told Mr B that I will get a big one now....The Gator is getting picked up today to go get fixed and serviced..leaving me with just the tractor...
-
Gosh don't you know Culver...I made the whole thing up, remember I'm delusional, and a liar, Oh and a law breaker.........How many times has that been said...LOL
-
Last 30 page? OK, I got the answer I got. Whether your satisfied with it or not is of no concern of mine. They stated what I have been saying all along whether you like it or not. From the DEC's research and consultation with others they summarized their conclusion, move on..... They SPECIFIED you can not be in procession of a fire arm in bow season while hunting deer... They do not say the same about cross bows ..ANYwhere:

Merlot....I have no idea where DC came from ? I said a line from Buffalo to here. Stay at home's post shows that line of precipitation on the radar.
