  1. I thought shelf but don't recall shelf but don't recall them being orange? ...BTW this is the new clover plot...
  2. That was to form and opinion...Tired, I tend to reverse letters when tired..that and drop letters while typing....
  3. Hope the day was excellent and the evening relaxing, with a fantastic year to follow.... I wrote this ^ yesterday and just found it...forgot to hit send...oopppsss happy belated
  4. Rained yesterday...told Mr B it was going to rain last night...no,no,, at 12:30am when the dog came in and woke us up, it was pouring and blowing in all the windows he left open on the west side...So I'm scrambling to close them and turn on the out side light to find he'd opened the garage door too...After drying off, I finally got back to bed The garden is a mud hole..the strawberries are rotting...tossed more then I picked and I picked 6#'s...I can't believe the seeds all came up!...I did carefully trans plant the brussel sprouts I direct seeded to their new home in the garden..I will do that from now on it has worked out well..14 plants in all...The cabbage I divided and moved around is doing great as well and my corn is 2 in" high. having the farmer plant his at the same time...has helped a lot..cross fingers... the animals are hitting his Field and I still have plants! But the sun came out today and I boogied. Mowed, weeded where I could...mowed the lower plots in front...Finally! stinking daisy and thorny thistle galore. tons of summer weeds and grasses started...So I will be spraying ,depending on weather. did find a nice surprise...wild fox glove...a beautiful specimen...that stayed. 4 hours...I'm tired..but now I have to take care of all those straw berries and freeze them...jam is next..... It's so cool and a slight breeze, big clouds under a crisp blue sky...I refuse to look at the forecast and spoil the mood.. hope you all are having as nice a day...
  5. Ya ...If I did that, I'd get caught the second the bolt or bullet left the bow or gun for either deer or coyotes....just not worth it....Which reminds me I have to get my bow into the shop for new strings ...call them today...
  6. The new cam...the deer walked by moments after I set cams and picked strawberries last night....
  7. I have to say I use and have more than a few years used tinks smoking sticks...and they have worked for me...the all season ones.
  8. A scent despenser with a remote controlnever worked right and the sound spooked deer...the nozel froze up in cold weather..ect,ect
  9. This is a study done in a totally different geological frame then NYS..note the source of study and the cost to tax payers for road damage. Now note the difference in NYS road enviroment to Texas. I'd have to be reading studies set up differently to from a firm opinion.
  10. Happy Birthday Moog...enjoy the rest of the day and have a stellar year...
  11. So I got a nice surprise...they sent me a new camera instead of a fixed old one and an upgrade...I opened the box to see a 20 mp trophy cam HD aggressor . So I'll read up ,battery and SD up and give her a try. The customer service on this was very good..That said I am laughing.. for it does have that honey comb grid over the array that I complained about on one of my other Bushnell. It catches snow and ice..so I will be installing in a visor type box for the winter to see if that can be avoided...that or they will be am 3 season cam for me... Either way STILL excellent communication and turn around with an upgraded replacement.... Thank you Bushnell
  12. I have had the round spring loaded one for years..works well andfolds up into a small round pouch, though does needtrees or brush arouns as tie up supports. Your ground stakes would work much better in grassy area.
  13. Switch our spinach for the peas and add sauteed Portobello mushrooms...so good!
  14. Venison steaks marinated in a parm/ garlic, yellow rice, green salad, peas...the best cherry pie I have ever had. Made by our daughter for fathers day from their cherry tree. Dang she is a good cook
  15. Wow!! That is Great and everyone looks so good! What a wonderful big sister I see he will have...Congrats to you all on this wondrous event...A true fathers day gift right there...
  16. Ohhh the garden...I'm ashamed to say I'm still planting...I was able to weed a bit around the spinach but it rained all night long and it is very dark out there now...couldn't pick berries today due to the plants being so wet...This will not be a good garden nor plot year for me...I sprayed my one big clover area and killed grass and weeds...but the clover stayed stunted and what came back? weeds and grass...I'm thinking it will be a total spray down in next week and then a light discing, beans, drag them in and then clover...maybe dutch white...Still have not even mowed the lower plots and the kill down spraying I did at end of lane way has re grown so yet another spraying has to happen...This do to that being an area of perennial weeds...the corn and sorghum area I haven't touched is a sea of daisies...I'm back to square one...only the grain area is fairly weed free...save a few daisy plants I can pull...Hey I have decided not to sweat it, if the deer show they show..if not.. well, so be it...Maybe I'll get some help getting equipment ready when I need it next year...When someone doesn't get any deer meat this year.....
  17. Rain rain rain...but dang either the weeds or the hay is coming up great already... rain due nearly every day this week....
  18. Lol... Larry we're talking Prattsburgh, not Watkins Glen, or some other resort type area...though service is service..if they have concerns they should charge more and give good service..not less and poor service.
  19. We havent had that problem. Rain, rain ,rain....beans are up lettuce is ready, swt.banana and swt orange peppers have peppers and flowers..watching corn closely because deer tracks are numerous and birdsvare watching.
  20. Sorry Paula I went over what I posted and it was very clear and my response to rob was to . Even though he went on some crazy thing about barka loungers and picnic tables. I clearly had said before his little rant the barn was a hot box. He then quoted my saying I was picking up River and said so it was a wedding where i didn't know anyone. Sure I'd be picking up my grandson from a strangers wedding...we rent him out as the cute little kid at weddings. THAT WAS SARCASM.The only confusion made here was by him..and to the cops..comment...that's what every bride would want..cops and reports being made on their wedding weekend..Of course one would never think this proprietor would think the same thing..Besides this couple are some of the nicest you'd want to meet and it takes a lot to push them to such actions. I went to that web site and saw those reviews..well perhaps she does better with single travelers then wedding venues..I would also think the fall wine times would have less electric usage and air conditioning not as nessasary. Too bad, you dont advertise air conditioned rooms then freak out when it's being used. You dont advertise services then just don't provide them..knowing the customer is between a rock and a hard place with guests arriving.
  21. Are you drinking with him? 1. they were outside because the barn was so dang hot 2. I said more then once it was friends and family Rob...best weddings I've ever attended were in actual tractor barns with calves blatting in the next barn over..also in Pavillions next to ponds surrounded by corn fields. Now when someone pays thousands for a venue plus a 100 per night for a two night minimum they should expect not only some service but privacy. So I wrote this so anyone else can have a choice to either avoid or to ask more concise questions should they decide to check the place out. Not to get into a pizzing match with someone who clearly has a chip on his shoulder.
  22. Have you been drinking? Or are you just a fool...
  23. Stone, I would bet MR B's family and yours know each other...his family is from there . I also had friends whos family lived there, Veeders..we would visit when goining to Roseland P ark during the summer...the fall folage festival was a yearly event. Know alot of people from there.
  24. BTW.. I was there to pick up River ..the guest.for the reception were all sitting in portable lawn chairs outside the barn and in an air condition travel camper(drivable) that someone drove in, to get to the wedding.
