Home from work and just made it to the stand for a PM hunt. Hoping that the buck from yesterday shows up again today.

That nice buck that came by never presenting a shot yesterday did walk in front of my trail cam, so I pulled the card last night...he was a real nice 8pt! Man, so close...I'm working a half day today so hopefully get lucky later today.

Been a good day for activity...lots of deer movement, so far have seen 13 and one of them being one of the big boys at about 1130, but never presented a shot. Hoping he comes back out and presents a shot.

Good movement so far today. 2 groups of 2 doe, then a small buck, I think the same one as yesterday. And just now this group of 3 doe...came into about 10 yards at one point before wandering off. Hoping one of the big boys comes by.

Well hopefully this is a sign for good deer movement today...sitting in stand drinking hot chocolate and watching a deer walking through in the predawn about 30 yds away ... come on 7:35!

Couldn't open tge site all day Saturday but I managed to beat the cold and pulled an all day sit Saturday. Passed on this little buck at about 10 yards. He came in at 8:06 then no other deer seen after that made for a long cold sit...and my thermos of hot chocolate was cold by 9:00! Planning another all day sit Sunday. Hopefully there will be more deer movement.

Out of work and on stand by 1:45 in 8F. Windier than I thought it was supposed to be. Hoping to catch some movement before the main storm front moves through tonight, but not feeling to confident with this wind. So 2nd rut about now or already gone by?

No deer seen but did get to see and hear a flock of turkeys flying up to roost.

Managed to get out of work early today for muzzleloader opener! Been on stand since about 1230.

I try to do the same on my 13 acres. How long of a break do you normally give and how long until you see deer activity easing back into the area?

Going stir crazy waiting for muzzleloader opener, so back on stand this morning armed with a camera. No snow here in 8F but it is frosty cold! Good Luck all!

I had a ratchet strap snap on me last season when I was near the top of my ladder, climbing up in the dark it almost knocked me off my ladder and put my heart in my throat. After that I put new ratchet straps on all my ladderstands but I also reinforced all my ladderstands at the top with a rubber coated cable lock pulled snuggly around the tree.

That's my exact first gun and is saved in my gun cabinet for my first grandson or granddaughter

Well after seeing those 3 doe being trailed by that buck on my way to the stand at 1:30, I later had this little 4Pt come by at about 4:20. So ended up seeing 3 doe and 2 bucks tonight.

Dying to get back in the woods but no tags so have to wait for muzzleloader season to start 12/11 so I decided to just sit in a stand with a camera this afternoon so I can get in the woods. Well on the way to the stand, I come upon 3 doe being trailed by a small buck...figure's I had camera in the bag till I get to the stand so video's not the greatest, was taken with phone...LOL. They knew something was up and didn't stick around too long. Tried to upload the video but the site won't let me

I have a funeral mass today but tomorrow I'm planning to sit the morning in one of my stands with a camera and then later in the day check my trail cams.
