Has anyone tried any of those gimmicks like the deer whistle or something like that where the deer hear it and it may avoid your car? I think they mounted on the bumper? I remember seeing them years ago and if they ever proven to work?

Is there a spot where it gets really shallow from Ontario St boat launch out to Strawberry Island? I fished foot of Ontario St. last summer and guy fishing next to me said you could almost wade in the water out to the island it was shallow...any truth to that?

I got one estimate from Schmidt's Auto Body this morning quoted me $3,695

Was driving to meet a friend for fishing yesterday in Orleans County and had the unfortunate run in with a fairly large doe that dented in my passenger side fender and busted the side view mirror and few other dents. I just bought my 2008 Honda Civic 3 weeks ago and to say the least I'm not very happy, there wasn't a scratch on the car. The deer had a not so good fate, as it rolled off to the brush on the side of the road. Maybe it will be dinner for some coyotes. Now its the deductible I have to come up with and find a body shop. That was deer number 3 for me that seem to like running into me in my driving career. How many times have you had deer run into your car or truck?

Good idea Eddie, I'm going give that a try next trip out to my sisters. I'm going order another cam this week.

Went to check my cams yesterday that I had put up about a month ago on my sisters property. I had bought less expensive cams over winter to replace 4 good ones the scumbags stole last year. When I got to second cam, I noticed lots of ants on outside of it crawling all around. I knocked them off and opened cam up, and they had made a nest full of eggs inside. I popped out s.d. card and they started crawling out from inside of cam. Anyways, that cam stayed where it was as I consider it junk. Cheaper cams certainly have flaws, and bugs getting into them is one of them.And the s.d. card was no good when I checked it back at home. I did get few pics from my other cam, at least that was bug free!!

Going spend weekend at friends cottage on Lake Ontario and fish Oak Orchard area. Have done this many times for bass opener and have a fun and relaxing time!!

Bought one last fall and used it during early archery....I'm satisfied 100%

I was driving Hartland Rd. in Niagara County early this past Saturday morning and saw not far ahead of me in the middle of the road a doe standing with a tiny fawn nursing. I had slowed right down and thought this is not the place to be feeding the little one!!! With a quick glance at me and my car, Momma jumped forward off the road and into the brush, with the little one following right behind. The fawn was no bigger than a little poodle!! I think next time Momma will wait to feed her little one when she is safely across the road!!
