My son absolutely loves it there. Doesn’t want to come home for breaks, etc. Would stay there year round if we let him. Lol. And making deans list each semester so we can’t complain

I’d make the couple hour drive from Syracuse depending on the day. Could head up to Albany area and see my son at Siena afterwards. I’ll have to keep my eyes on this thread!!

In for the last sit of the year. At my cousins place. Didn’t think I’d get out today but as usual the weather man was wrong. Saw 2 down in the brush under the power lines as I was making my way up the hill to my current spot. Haven’t hunted here yet this year. My cousin got 1 out of here during gun season and saw deer almost every time he was out during muzzleloader. He’s out of town til Tuesday so I figured I’d give this a try for the last day!!

I’m going by what our county is experiencing. Heck, my family has had this all within the last few weeks. Today is my last day of quarantine. (Can’t wait to get out tonight for a bit). Wife and daughter are in until 1/8. We are having record numbers of people testing positive, everywhere. I have not looked at numbers specifically but I find it hard to believe the majority of people testing positive are unvaccinated when I know more people vaccinated who have been sick with this than unvaccinated. I could be wrong, who knows.

I’ve read numerous articles over the last couple days about how this is really contagious but no where near as severe as the Delta strain. Numbers flying skyward but hospitalizations remaining about the same. I do realize vaccinated less likely to be in the hospital. Said that earlier. But the mandates need to stop because over the last month I know more people who are vaccinated and sick than the unvaccinated. If someone chooses not to get vaccinated and they get sick and end up in the hospital that is on them. Get faxed, get boosted, that’s all I hear. But the majority of cases and people testing positive are people that are vaccinated

But vaccines are not stopping the people who have been vaccinated from getting this thing. So WHY require that people be vaccinated in order to fly?? Cruise ships are a perfect example. Need to be vaccinated to get on a ship. Cases are spreading like crazy. Doesn’t matter if you are vaccinated or unvaccinated, you are going to get it at this point. Just let the crap run it’s course. No more mandates as they are doing nothing

Very well good be. The OP made it sound like they were deer hunting so that is why I asked the questions I did.

If it is on your dads land did you talk to the hunters?? Were they trespassing or do you know who was out there hunting with a rifle?? If you know them and they are out hunting with a rifle during muzzleloader season I wouldn’t be letting them on my land in the future. Did you notify the DEC??

Why are we even worrying about vaccines at this point?? They don’t stop you from getting the virus. May help keep you out of the hospital. People have had almost a year to make a decision to get the vaccine or not. If they choose not to and end up in the hospital that is on them. This is spreading like wildfire, vaccinated and the non vaccinated, doesn’t matter. Vaccines are not stopping people from getting the virus. I know more people vaccinated who have had it in the last month than non vaccinated. Even the people I know who are unvaccinated and are getting this strain are not that sick. Spread it around at this point.

Well plans changed. Was supposed to be on a flight to LA at this time. Had a slight headache and was felling a little “off” today. Took a Covid test and it came back positive. Same with the 2nd one. Everyone else in the family is negative so they are off and it is just the me and the dog for 11 days. Feeling fine and hoping it stays that way that way I can quarantine in the woods starting the 26th. Merry Christmas to me. Lol

Like I said I have not hunted a lot of state land so I do not have a lot of experience with it. just referring to what I have hunted right around the corner from me. And there is no driving cars, 4 wheelers, etc on the state land. I actually didnt think you were aloud to use motorized vehicles like 4 wheelers on state land. I know 3 rivers has signs all around saying no motorized vehicles allowed so I thought that was the norm. Never thought about the big tracts of state land like you mentioned.
