  1. Damn, guess where I was yesterday? I wasn’t trespassing, just thinking about it. I need your phone number......
  2. Jeez, good catch Rob..........we'd have been in deep shiet if we missed this one.
  3. I'd be hesitant to monkey with a trigger spring in your boy's gun. He doesn't need a lightened or crisper trigger at this stage of his learning. YMMV of course.......
  4. It's a "bear hunt", not a camping trip. AND, Tioga County PA is no slouch on the beauty either. Copy/Paste from DEC website: " Hunters in New York killed 1,295 black bears during the 2018 hunting season, about 9 percent less than in 2017, according to the state Department of Environmental Conservation. Hunters killed 804 black bears last year in the state's Southern Zone, which includes the Hudson Valley and Catskills, the department said.Mar 12, 2019 " Per the December 27, 2019 issue of New York Outdoor News, the Pennsylvania bear kill was 4,577 on December 9. A link to an article published November 24, 2019........ https://triblive.com/news/pennsylvania/pennsylvania-bear-harvest-nears-3000-for-2019-after-firearms-opener-on-saturday/ Another link, this one on the 2018 bear take in NYS. Note less than 500 bear killed in the 'Daks during the 2017 season. Ya pay your money, ya take your chances.....
  5. That "warranty" doesn't do you much good if that scope has a problem in the field now, does it?
  6. Go to Tioga County, Pennsylvania for bear. Don’t waste your time in NYS.
  7. Have you ever been approached by Random House Publishing?
  8. I started using them in 1985 I believe. What I’m sure of is that I killed a nice 8pt in 1986 with the “broken” off BRI pictured on the right. The left is an original BRI from their factory ammo. (Pre-Winchester days) The recovered bullet came from the off side shoulder of the buck.
  9. Jeez don't step in a trap..........................I hear the ground is loaded with leg hold iron. And if ya do get caught, GAWD help you. The Rock Man will have you skun' out PDQ.
  10. Gawd I killed truck loads of deer with the shotgun and hopefully never will again. That said, I'm hesitate to sell the Ithaca Model 87 DSII (I think that's the name?) in case I'm ever relegated to hunting Erie County full time. Part time my ML'r shines........ I don't recall but could check the last time I used the shotgun. Seems I looked it up recently, 2003 or 2004?I still have to pinch myself each year when I realize I'm carrying a GD centerfire rifle in Ontario and Livingston Counties!!!!
  11. Is he the guy that has the hot sauce?
  12. BRI........a blast from the past. Don’t tempt me to dig out some slugs!!
  13. Who got one and what make/type you get? How'd you like it? Do you use a lifeline, home made or store bought? Do you have a plan for "self rescue"?
  14. I can get a good price on lumber from Mosher.........
  15. Nice.....that'd be worthy of aging for sure.
  16. Antlers always scared me too..........the big rawhide chews were always a hit with my lab but I worried she'd choke on them because she'd practically inhale them. Dogs.........
