I never used lighted nocks, nothing against them just always seemed like a PIA.
-
Funny, I let the deer move to facilitate the shot.

I’ve used this in the backyard since getting it and the day and night videos have been excellent.

It’ll be interesting to see if this gets figured out.

There's a thread on here talking about the PA Elk drawing. I HAD 12 points but sadly have 13 now that I didn't draw this year but did read on this thread that a fellow from Williamsville did draw a tag. I immediately recognized his name but wondered if it really could be true so I sent him a text last night. I've known him for probably 25 years, not close but an acquaintance I met through NY Bowhunters Inc and we bump into one and other every couple years here and there. About ten minutes after my text he called me, wow he was beyond excited! He was on a plane heading to Florida when the Game Commission was calling him. He got off the plane and checked his phone and there were three missed calls from a PA area code. I guess he called them back and got the big news........ He has had many phone calls and text messages from people congratulating him and numerous guides offering their services. He has also spoke to the Game Commission about this hunt and everybody there and the guides too have tried (not that he needed it) to impress on him the magnitude of this September bugle archery tag. One outfitter said he has permission from a farmer to hunt a piece of ground inhabited by a 400"+ bull. I'm not sure if he said that guide or another guide said if we have an opportunity at a 370" bull the first day he would encourage my buddy to NOT shoot it. These bulls have never been hunted in September, this is the first year and a big deal. These guides/outfitters are really trying to get his business. He said he was going to head down in the next couple weeks to look over the ground and interview some guides. One very large well known call company has offered to send one of their pro staff along with a video crew to accompany him! I don't know if I could handle the pressure from that but he seems like he could handle it. When he called me the first thing he said was that I was on his list of people to call when he got back from Florida. We talked for about ten minutes and he said he keep me posted on the hunt. Very cool......

My best camera seems to be my driveway surveillance camera

That bear has something in its mouth. Maybe garbage? Maybe the neighbor? -
Please don't take offense, just not the look I'd be going for but EVERYTHING else about them appeals to me.

My boss has a 2014 Ridgeline and it is a great vehicle. It could check off 90% of the boxes on my list. A hitch hauler would take care of the remaining 10%..........'cept they're butt ugly now.

If it is, he’ll kill for sure. Ill text him in a day or two. Probably doing interviews with Outdoor Life, Field & Stream and GQ now.

Last winter I had a Browning trail cam giving me trouble. I started to see moisture in the case when I'd pull the card for review and some slight rust on the battery ejection compartment button. I tried it out a couple times at work this spring and it would burn through batteries in a few days, something was miss firing fo sho. Time went by pretty quick and I just never got to calling Browning to see if they'd do anything for a 3 year old camera. Fast forward to late last week while recovering from a week off due to a little mishap while working and nothing to do but rest up. I called Browning ( Prometheus Group ) and told my tale of woe. The nice fellow on the phone (turns out he's from Wheatfield NY) said send it in. Due to the age of it it wouldn't be under warranty but if it could be repaired, they'd email me a quote. I put it in the mail on Tuesday and much to my surprise and glee, a brand new camera arrived via FedEx this morning. Thank you Browning!

Sharpen those blades with a grinder.

Not a Muskie but a couple years ago on Silver Lake I spotted a northern pike cruising along with his head and I believe gills out of the water. We got fairly close to him before he headed back down. Weird but neat to see. Common or not common to see?????? A bald eagle could have snatched him....

Cool as it gets.......

Atta boy Andrew, you did good.

Thank you Tommy for not photo shopping a big dong in there like my "friend" Jeremy would do....... PS...I've worn that shirt three times (graciously given to me by YOU) and here it is, twice in the same thread. Karma?
