I had a bird going real hot next to your dad's property opening day on my buddies. He headed YOUR way with his hens, pronto after he heard me. Kill 'em tomorrow.

My first gun would be a Winchester Model 69A. It belonged to my uncle but he left it with his sister (my mom) for safe keeping. I put probably 1000 rounds through it before I was 16. Not many compared to lots of kids I'm sure but a lot to me. My mom died in '86 and my uncle died in '88 and the gun became mine in a sad kind of way. I still have the gun but it gets shot rarely........ Many a head of small game fell to it, along with a truck load of Campbell's soup cans.

Every time my wife and I are walking around the block and go by that house I instinctively give that over grown jungle a WIDE berth........so overgrown and dark I just wonder what lurks within. You're a good neighbor to put up with Peter Peter IDMMLN. And yes, I believe the Town will charge him but they'll put it on his tax bill and when he (or his decedents) sells the house, they'll have to pay up!!

No feeder for me either but my favorite bird is the chickadee. Enjoy watching all birds but the chickadee puts a smile on my face. I call them the “happy bird”. Then of course my 2nd favorite is the mourning dove.... tasty and enjoyable to view. -
The weather sounds lousy for the Opener and the next couple weeks. Cold, cloudy and wet......
