I was a bead guy until a couple years ago.........I wanted to shoot a special load (don't even remember what it was now, LOL) out of my SBE and it was low to the left IIRC. I figured I'd try a red dot and got a Burris FF3, haven't looked back yet. That said, I'll shoot it Tuesday with the guys at the Academy to confirm zero.

So I'm in this group text with Jeremy K, Biz, Andrew, Tacks, Jay Z and Jay S from the forum. Me being the older guy and WAAAAAYYYY busier than them (LOL) I don't text as much as them but do my share anyway. Some days there could be a couple hundred text messages that I'm behind but I try my best to read them and comment when possible. A couple weeks ago I noticed that there were no messages from them for about 8 hours, strangely. Then at 5:26am my phoney phone went nuts, about 150 came in at one time. Ding ding ding ding etc......WTH So this past Friday sometime I sent a text and got no reply, odd I thought. Just now the flood gates opened and for about 8 minutes and I had 360 texts come in! Unfortunately I'm done in the bathroom so I don't know when I'll have time to read them...............LOL. There's smoke emanating from the charging port and speaker. I texted a few solo texts with TF and Tacks in the past couple days and they worked fine. I was hesitant to ask if I'd been banished from the group text due to lack of participation or knowledge but alas, I'm BACK!!!! Happy Easter

I've got enough venison sausage to feed the forum if'n you do bring that new grill.

And then there's this guy/gal........my wife saw it running across our street as she was getting ready to grab a coffee at TH. She hollered for me to come with her and see if we could spot it on another street behind us. Sure enough, Eagle Eye (me) spied it sitting in a neighbors shrubs sitting getting ready to dine on a fresh caught rat/mouse/bunny (I didn't get a good look at the prey). A dog walker came around the corner and spooked it.......Happy Easter!

This morning my backyard looks amazing......green as can be and growing fast. The front is another story; looks like Jeremy's with the brown patches. I'm not sure why as I do apply Scott's products twice a year. Turf builder plus weed & feed in the spring and Turf builder winterguard fall weed & feed are my choices. I couple weeks ago I raked the b-jesus out of some really rough spots and then bought a bag of Scott's seed, wondering if it'd meet the King's (Bizzy) approval. Lets revisit this in a month...............

Nice rig.......mojo was a no show the day I fished out of it but that means twice nothing. It is a well outfitted rig and a very fair price.

I stopped by the new Runnings Store in Lockport last night and they had a selection of this same type of steel plate. I didn't pay much attention to them so can't comment om prices, FWIW. You shoot yours yet??

Good luck to all the Jr hunters. If I had the skill, I’d write up the story of my son’s 2nd year of the Youth Hunt. The short version is.....Letchworth State Park, 15 adult gobblers inside 40 yards and four (yes 4) adult gobblers missed in two days, each shot was inside of 30 yards and all birds ran or flew like he was shooting spitballs. I can promise you that Dick Kirby never had two days like that in New York State......amazing I survived the drama.

You fence/tube all the new trees so the deer don't destroy them? Other measures? Other critters that' damage them; bear, mice etc?

Oh I still go to Canadice often and now that I think of it, I had breakfast at the Redwood back in the fall with my buddy. I'm sure you and your son will have a great time and tons of success.
