No no no..........shotguns are used for turkey here in NYS
-
Looks like a great time Dave, have fun!
-
Please tell me your methods in patterning your guns and loads for turkey. Target, distance, rest, amount of shots PER load and any other variables that contribute to your choices.......thank you.

Good stuff guys!!

I killed a gobbler back in ‘89 IIRC with snow on the ground. Foggy too!!

Robin eggs show up in the craziest places. Here we have some beauties in a nest at work, on an extension ladder and well protected from the elements. Hopefully I didn't scare mom-ma too bad when I placed another ladder next to that one. (she scared me when she came rocketing out!!) Taco Tim has a cool picture in the turkey thread of some backyard eggs he found, unknown what critter left them but we have a hunch........

Mother’s Day weekend trail ride yesterday.

Yup, looks like a heck of a good time. I sold my Honda Foreman a long time ago but pictures like this make me think of a replacement. I loved running through mud for some reason, I wasn't looking for speed, just mud, water and always snow. Snow was a PIA if it was too deep but if it was just right, it was great. What a great way to spend the day with your family, congrats. -
Yea, mom’s rock. I lost mine in 1986 at the ripe old age of 46........my wife’s mom died when she (her mother) was 53, both WAY to damn early. I have a great step mom though. Happiest of Mother’s Day to all.

Nothing for me.

It’s cheaper than the Stihl too......not surprising.

The one end opens up to turn the round files for a fresh cut. (Or to change them out)
-
Three files; two round and one flat. It has angle guides (just lines) that help you run it straight. The flat file cuts on the top and bottom for when you hit the right side then the left side.

I got my first saw at 15, a little late to the party.
-
“Pferd” is the company that makes them for Stihl. I bought this last year and really like it.
-
I've seen more than a few over the years, never while hunting. I remember the first one; on Emil Muller's place at the south end of Honeoye Lake 45 years ago.

Happy Birthday guys!!!!

Carve the scene that water rat posted. It'd be very saleable.......
-
Get it squared away?
-
I don't consider that "passing up" anything, those were two no-shoot situations. Tomorrow is a new day though.........good luck.

Silly me, I was thinking a taxidermy thread. If I squint my eyes, I have a very good mental picture of what is happening out there. Nice.....
