  1. Snazzy looking !! When new, the Chain Tread were pretty good but I found they wore out fast, had them rebuilt numerous times too. I hope yours last years and are bloodied soon!
  2. If you Google "slippery" you'll see a pair of Maine Hunting Shoes.
  3. Exclusivity to the field is another thing to hope for........
  4. Wonder what he was hunting in the heat of late August ? And died amongs an illegal growing operation?? Theres more to this story I’d bet......., RIP nonetheless!!
  5. Yes, scouting is imperative for most waterfowl but especially early goose. Once you find them then you need to procure permission. Note: where they are today means little on 8/31.........sure it’s a help but you have to know exactly what field they are hitting on the 31st.
  6. I have had a handful of Bean boots, yes the Maine Hunting Shoe. 3 pairs I’d guess plus a pair of the pac boots. Zero support for your feet IMO, cold and wear like crap. My first pair I porobably got in the early 80’s then a couple more in the 90’s......I’ll pass on them. As a matter of fact, I have a pair of size 9 medium width I need to sell for a friend. Maybe I’ll list them tonight ??
  7. I did without them for something like 41 1/2 years before I decided to give them a try............
  8. Great job! Whooooooooos gonna end up with that beauty?
  9. I hate to do this as I know it's been beat like an old rug but..........It looks like I'll be using the Rage 100gr Hypodermic again this year. I switched to them half way through last season and I'm willing to continue. Any new users of them this year or folks leaving them and going another direction?
  10. This is what I use...... https://www.campmor.com/c/seam-sealer-3-2-oz-80947?gclid=CjwKCAjw5ZPcBRBkEiwA-avvk_2gZGtNhYeF3G8eoN1QzplWvqQzyynKbXeIJm8GGAvyT07aRGnM8RoCM9YQAvD_BwE
  11. Valuable point.......
  12. Two years ago a big bear was shot on Canadice Lake Rd for busting up some bee hives.........I heard through the grape vine (unsubstantiated) that another was killed at the same guys house recently. Maybe it was the one I had on camera 6-8 weeks ago? I don't know how big a business (dollar wise) the guy is running but I sure hope it's his lively hood and not a hobby. It it's true that this is the second bear killed there, it really sucks for the license buying public that'd be thrilled to kill a bear with either gun or bow to have these bears killed with a nuisance tag and have the meat/hide/head go to waste. (assumption on my part)
  13. Did you end up getting powder eddie?
  14. Price reduced on this for Craigslist to $9995 Members here $9500
  15. Dan sent me this photo. Apparently his doctor gave him some valuable advice recently and he passed it on to me as I had a birthday earlier this month. I think I'll heed the advice too......
  16. Yes I was just going to post that the guy who started all the trouble is an attorney.
  17. A quick tip for those looking for a tip........notice the orange painted and blue painted handles. Sometimes if paint is handy I'll spray a different color that won't blend in with foliage if dropped or lost. I like bright yellow too........My step starter is painted orange also as it is/was black iron.
  18. I'm glad all you've upgraded was the bow............
  19. Lots of options.......the nipper with the green handle (pruning shears) can do a lot of work fast with little baggage. The small folding saws are invaluable.
  20. He's on private ground
  21. Another Birthday? Happy Birthday buddy!!
