  1. I’ve loaded TT but can never seem to get it to work. If I have some downtime over the weekend I’ll look at it again.
  2. I think I’ve tried every which way to take a picture and then post it. Sometimes it works but rarely.
  3. And Iphone batteries CAN be replaced for IIRC $50
  4. I'm tired of hanging sideways pics........is Taptalk the answer to posting correctly from my phones library?
  5. 200" typical is a GIANT no doubt. This past weekend I got to photograph the #2 typical "Found" dead buck in NYS. It is in a neighbors house down near where I hunt in Canadice. A young man found it 12-14 years ago, IIRC. I believe it scored in the low 170's and is a MONSTER!! I'll see if I can hang a picture that ISN'T sideways...........hang in there.
  6. Busy day at work has suddenly slowed up. Wake me up at 5:00.......
  7. We have a half a bucket left......just what I need.
  8. Oh I'm sure Papist is compiling conspiracy theories as we speak.........he'll show up PDQ.
  9. I saw three tails on the way in and one half rack spike from the stand. A HECK of a big oak tree came down in the past few days.............it'll really mess up my vision from the stand of an area they frequently come from. Life goes on...............
  10. You DO know what NFG means, yes? I was chatting with a friend/neighbor where I hunt and he and his son were sighting in a new rifle (their first real experience with a CF rifle) and I expressed an interest in fondling the new piece after they said it was a Tikka. The son pulled it from the truck and handed it to me. A quick check of the chamber proved a clear and then I held it at arms length just admiring it. The Leupold scope looked odd to me at first but on closer inspection, I found a boner. Appears as though the young sales monkey at Field & Stream in Rochester mounted the scope 90 degrees OFF........the windage turret was on top and the elevation was on the right side. I pointed it out to the father and son and they both got a sick look in their faces. I said, "no sweat, just take the TORX wrench that came with the rings/bases, loosen the screws a little and spin it 90 degrees". They then told me they didn't get the TORX wrench or any thing else from F&S. I said again, "no sweat, I'll bring one down next weekend and we can get it correct". They were happy that I'd help out and we soon said our goodbyes. I was in my buddies truck when we were talking with them and when we got back to his house I thought I just might have one of those wrenches in my truck and, darn it all I did! A quick phone call was made and we went to the guys house and got things straight again. Now this weekend I will help them get it back to zero as turning the scope 90 degrees is going to change things a bit. They said they were having a dickens of a time trying to sight it in with the "U" turret on the side and the "D" turret on top. He thanked me with two bottles of home made wine...........
  11. Same/same. ('cept it's wet snow) Take a look at East Aurora on the weather radar...........uggh.
  12. Far less than 1500 rounds a year but I thoroughly enjoy shooting all my CF rifles.......especially the accurate ones. Since I sold my business three years ago I shoot less than I'd like..............way the frig less. As one of the tv gun dudes used to say, "Shoot More, Shoot More Often". Well said!
  13. Well done fellas.......have an extra beer cause I doubt you’ll be hunting in the am.
  14. Holy cow, she's transformed!! Looking forward to the hunt report.......
  15. I just got home and flipped on the boob tube......channel 395 "Sportsmans Channel" on DISH: Full Draw Outfitters is on. First thing I see is a guy drawing his bow back as a big buck is walking across a field. The buck is walking and I'm grunting to myself, hoping to stop the buck for the guy 'cause he isn't! Finally the guy pulls the trigger while the buck is WALKING. I don't know the distance but it wasn's straight down, maybe 30 plus yards?? Lower gut shot is what we got now. But WAIT, the buck runs out of site and the shooter looks quick at the camera man and says "HE"S DOWN, RIGHT THERE!!". The camera man says yup, he's down! They go to a commercial and then come back with the hero shot of the buck on a creek bank looking deader than heck. The shooter thanks everybody connected to the deal and that's a wrap. I'm soooo sick of these bullshiit shows, they make me wanna puke. There is no freaking way that buck died that quick..........liars.
  16. No kidding? They are almost directly across the street from the Hotel. It's kind of an mish mosh of hunting/fishing stuff with some jeans & work boots tossed in. Very fair prices too. For many years they were the go-to spoon manufacturer for lake trout. A fair amount of Woolrich stuff (Mr.B gets a gift for Xmas from there, HINT) I'm sure you'd enjoy. I have a feeling you'd like the place.........NEXT time stop in.
  17. I'll bet there is a heck of story behind that injury!
  18. So you DIDN'T go in Sutton's? Darn shame.............
  19. Sounds like a great time is on tap.............I'll be south of ra-cha-cha but am obligated to stay for supper at my buddies. Actually, I hope to be skinning a buck after dark so that'd be a problem for a dinner date. All the best to you three hombres; pics or you're dicks.
  20. Don't delay, call now............And if you DO call now, we'll throw in not one but 7 of our calling systems. Man was that an infomercial!!
  21. This thread got me all worked up so I emailed Vince and have another call coming my way. Hedge wood (never heard of it but it appears to be Osage) looked good to me for this one. $55 shipped My other one is pictured here........
