After much thought, I’ve come to the conclusion that about all this guy will be cutting is SPAM.

This morning I passed on a beauty of a doe that presented a slam dunk shot........she was acting VERY strange, she had to be coming "in". I let her move through hoping a substantial buck was coming. He didn't and I left 30 minutes later as I had things to do. Last night I didn't hunt due to work obligations around my friends place, the heat and I was freaking bushed........ NEXT weekend will be stellar.

Three close Calls on the way down this morning and all three were buck moving doe. Just had a four point cruise by stand. Sout EAST wind.....not what they predicted!

I have a very good friend that manages an Arby’s locally and we went to a wake together last night. He told me about it, the meat is costing each store better than $6 for each sandwich. Retail is supposed to be north of $9. He has had people inquiring for weeks about it and he thinks they’ll be lined up at the door for the 10am opening. And yes, all they have is 100 patties.....

He makes it or has it made? If he makes his own, good on him. Most processors charge a small fortune to make specialty meats in my experience. I’ve had summer sausage made From geese I’ve shot but WTH are you going to do with it all? Other than gifts, you can only eat so much of the stuff.

You want to work all hunting and fishing seasons?? Gotta think long and hard on that. Become a LEO in your local home town. Then you can hunt, fish or whatever when you want after you put some time in.

Are you shooting 50cal guns? If so, I have a pile of home brewed balls you're welcome to. I've had a T/C Hawken flinter for 30 years (got it used so it's an old one) but just haven't hunted it much in the past 10 years. An old hunting buddy's wife gave me a half a cigar box with bullets the two of them cast years ago. Your welcome to them.............

9H October 14 and October 17.........both morning hunts: each morning I've had bucks bed down close to my stand. My take from it? Either they are just resting up after copulation or there's nothing happening.

IIRC my main hunting gear (the stuff that gets 90% of the action anyway) is from the late 80's early 90's and from King Of The Mountain. They still have many many years of life left in them. I'd love to see an odometer/hour meter reading, so far........... Glass? Binos are either Leica or Swarovski, scopes are from Leupold. Boots are Lowa, Schnee's or Hoffman. Deer guns are NULA/ULA for deer etc Bow is Elite, broadheads are Slick Trick Viper Tricks. Arrows are Gold Tip. I need a Yeti mug & cooler. -
He's a dandy Moog.........he should be in Canadice by Saturday morning I'm thinking.
