  1. You talk like I guy just itching for a visit from the DEC........lol
  2. Do your dishes and clean that barn up already........
  3. It'd be easier to name the types of food I don't like.....and I can't think of any. LOL The Cornell Lab of Ornithology sounds interesting. Yes/no?
  4. I should have titled this “decent dining” lol Thanks
  5. I may be spending a weekend in Ithaca soon and wondered if anyone could recommend any better dining places? Things to see while there? What park is nicer for a visit? Buttermilk Falls or Taughannock Falls.
  6. Damn, I couldn't find the article when I just checked 20 minutes ago. Thanks for the link...... I've heard him talk of his mom before and some of his old family memories, very sad.
  7. Just curious if anyone saw Bob Lonsberry's column today? It is no longer available for viewing on his website. A couple times a year I look him up and unfortunately today I did. For probably close to 30 years I've enjoyed his show and used to listen all the time when I was on the road around Buffalo as my Chevy van had great AM radio reception. A work associate of mine back in the day was his next door neighbor IIRC. Also, during all my traveling to Ontario County for hunting over the years I'd tune in to WHAM when I knew he'd be on. He's certainly lead a complicated life and it sounds as though it's taken a dark turn. I'm going to say a prayer for him.....
  8. Those poor buggers are going to have a tough go of it….plenty of cold wet weather coming still. What about food, not much to chow on yet?
  9. Suppose I’d get the same grief from my wife if I heated mink oil on the stove like when I boiled a skull in our best pot?
  10. I washed all the mud of one of these pairs last weekend and used a soft brush also. This morning they both got the full grease job. A little heat before and after helps the SnoSeal to do it’s job. A couple times a year goes a long ways with keeping the “Rich Corinthian” (lol) leather in shape. Now I’m ready for some gobbler hunting…..
  11. Tremendous. Take lots of pics and good luck on the hunts!
  12. 5 MILES? That's the same (not really even close!) to dragging a gutted mule deer from Niagara Produce to Transit Valley Country Club. I'm not going to call BS this close to Easter so I'll hold off till next week.
  13. WOW, you two are troopers! What drew you to SA for a first trip, hunting I hope?
  14. How well do these chickens do in the winter?
  15. Mowin is giving you tips from "real world" experience, I'd heed it.
  16. I was going to guess it was you. LOL I hope you get better quick and it's 100% recovery, spring gobbler season is on our doorstep!
  17. I slept man nights in the back of my 83 Ford Ranger and my buddies 77 Ford F-150 lonnnnnngggg bed truck back in the day. Three days straight sometimes. Ahhhh the good old days.
  18. And the choices are??? (A slight detour on my thread is ok)
