Douglas barrels.......I don't know if they do anything special for Melvin but wouldn't be surprised if they kept a closer eye on the final result. I'll try and keep it in mind next time I'm down that way. I do know my buddy loves to break the thing out and take a peek.

Power here in Snyder........was on Tonawanda Creek (Niagara County side) and Transit probably 20 minutes after a tractor trailer flipped. I snapped a pic, I'll load it in a bit. I saw a ton of damage around the area on the way home. Lots of big trees down and plenty of roof damage. They just said there was a 81 mph gust in Batavia today. That my friends is humming!

My buddy Jason has a Hawkeye bore scope. I've never looked at a bore with it but he has told me numerous times how interesting they can be.

I just read the post you made where you quoted my post. If I carried a flintlock under a poncho or rain coat it'd be soaked from perspiration within 30 minutes as stand hunting wasn't how we did it in PA. On our feet still hunting like D. Boone.............miles from the truck dressed for the day.

Trust me, the powder was correct. That said, you obviously don't hunt in inclement weather. Keeping pan powder dry isn't always the easiest thing to do in a season that opens the day after Christmas in Pennsylvania.

My boss invited me to his cottage in Wilson today. The plan was to have a few pops, watch the first "wave" of swimmers then head back to his place for a BBQ. We didn't make it........we took a cruise down RT 240 from the 219. Ended up in Machias, then went to Ellicottville for lunch. It turned into a beautiful day for a ride in the southern tier. Washed my p/u when we got home. The water on the roof and cab froze before I could dry it completely.
