  1. I've gotten those slivers from the "bows" that support the canvas on my boat. Hurt like a sumbiotch and ya can't see 'em!!
  2. If the deals falls through, you're next on the list. Nothing would surprise me as the deposit wouldn't buy a 18 pack of Bud Light. Sketchy at best...........we will see.
  3. Very good point there.......there's a bit of a learning curve with ML'ing and at some point, Papa Biz will be getting a BTDT t-shirt for xmas after some kind of oops moment with the new rig. Bizzy.........Does dad have any experience with a ML"er?
  4. How big a boat do you have? My FIL pulled a 3000lb I/O with it. It has (of course) the Class 3 hitch, wiring AND hard wired winch control.
  5. I'm going to put the damned Camp Trails pack in the trunk when the guy comes for the car.
  6. https://buffalo.craigslist.org/spo/6055130442.html I've been Jonsing for one for years............Race ya to it!!
  7. Happy Birthday Philo!!!!!!
  8. Not sure what the budget is per head but man o man have we had GREAT meals & service at Russell's. I'd GUESS $60 a head would cover things easily??? http://salvatoresgrand.com/russells-steakhouse/ It's on Transit Rd In Amherst, right by the Thruway exit/entrance for ease of departure. On Main St in Snyder.........right by the school: http://siena-restaurant.com/ Worst comes to worst....... http://www.ziggystacos.com/menu/ One more I haven't been to though, on Main St. in Williamsville is Giangreco's. Supposed to be wonderful from what I gather..... http://www.giancarlossteakhouse.com/
  9. Congratulations! Are you specifically looking for something NEAR Kleinhans or are you heading in another direction after the services? If you're heading back to Amherst I can give you multiple good choices: Creekview, Milo's, Eagle House, Glen Park Tavern, Bing's......... North Tonawanda? Webster's or Remington Tavern....... In the City? Pano's........ Then there is something like Griffon Pub locations....... http://www.thegriffonpub.com/
  10. Nice to have your daughter somewhat following in your boots. I've never been to a REI store and also wish one would come to town. For years now I've been a customer of EMS locally. I have a very nice down bag of there's that is still in excellent shape although a bit snug. (I was a thinner fat ass then). I bought an Osprey 48 pack from them last summer that I've used numerous times since and it fits me good and seems durable. I look forward to updates on the trips.
  11. Fascinating video. You'll get way cooler results if you'd turn your phone sideways. (I rarely remember to do it either)
  12. I figured I'd post this in the chit chat section as I need suggestions PDQ.... What is your favorite way to prepare canned venison? It's on the menu tonight here and I'm at the wheel...........Smashed potato, peas and the venison recipe you guys stun me with. My favorite is great but just thought I'd try something else if'n it floats my boat.
  13. I'm selling a car for my FIL. As stated in the title, it's a 2005 Mercury Marquis, GS. Only 31,700 miles on the ticker. This car is registered in Florida and has seen less than 150 miles in our climate. I haven't cleaned it up inside but surely would for folks here. His stuff is still in it and I could prep it for a quick sale in 30 minutes or less. I have the title in hand....... Only thing it needs is (and I haven't looked that close) probably tires. He always thought they were "good enough". And, it does have a hitch and the electric winch hook up and controller. I took the pics last weekend after the storm! Can be seen in Snyder. $5800
  14. I've walked by more than a few climbers at the base of a tree during spring gobbler season. I always scratch my head but of course, I get it. They are a hassle but nothing good is going to be easy.........or else everybody would be using them. The $50 climber thing could maybe spook me a bit but then again, I'm bigger than the average bear and demand HD HQ stands............
  15. Oh yea, I use all three types of stands. Never shot a thing (or sat in) a ground blind.
  16. As noted above, time AND hunting in your own backyard are two things that hamstring many here I'd bet.
  17. Lots of guys use 7mm Mags and bigger and aren't utilizing there power either.
  18. I've had (knock on wood) GREAT luck with the USPS. I understand things don't always work out but I haven't been bit.........yet. Between a couple other web sites and eBay, I've got to have 400+ items I've sent through them.
