So would a Benchmade Emissary 470-1 be legal?? http://www.benchmade.com/products/470-1 And I don't mean NYC, just a local guy in WNY............thanks for the legal help.
-
Are the "spring assisted" knives legal here? (am I describing them correctly?)
-
Two gin & tonics down so far, if'n I have another I just might understand that jiberish................... (Oh, I've NEVER made a short G&T before and I don't plan on starting now!) Burp...........

Vince nailed it.................................. "Geechee is another term for the Gullah people who live in the low country region of South Carolina and Georgia including both the coastal plain and the Sea Islands." He's one smart cookie.

In a heart beat I'd sooner leave my box call home than my owl hooter and crow call. Or put it this way, I'd stay home if I couldn't take my hooter and crow call. Honest Injun................. The second gobbler I killed this year was located because he gobbled AFTER a truck hit a bump in the road and something big & heavy in the back of the truck made a huge clank. He was strutting in a field probably 150 or so yards away from me. I set up right then and there and called the bugger in after about 10 minutes or so............. Lords knows WTH they will AND won't gobble to at any given moment. (who knows if the Lord knows either because even the gobblers probably don't know what will set them off!!)

Well said woolster...... Honor the Vets! not sure what will fill the entire weekend but I know at some point I have to go to pick up a car for my kids that I'm buying from the Mermaid. Dan hooked me up with the deal but I have to rent a Uhaul tow dolly to get it back. After that, we are open to suggestions!

A Grand Marquis is a big 4dr sedan with 8, yes 8 big old cylinders. Made by no other than Mercury.
-
I like it a bunch. Do you travel for work?
-
Oh.......that Grand Marquis flat out HAULS ASS.
-
Glad your OK growie. Wouldn't have taken much for that to go from bad to REALLY bad in 3 seconds! Funny.......I put 100 or so miles on my FIL's 2005 Grand Marquis today on a back and forth trip to Waterport. His car sits most of the winter so this was the biggest trip since last October. We stopped for Injun gas and I smelled burning brake shoes/pads. Damn.....it wasn't a front brake as it wasn't pulling and the wheel covers were cool as a cucumber. Rear caps felt OK too. We got to Waterport and I could then tell it was coming from the left rear. Drove it home and didn't smell it when I made a couple market stops or when we arrived home. I'll take it in for a LOF and brake check tomorrow or Tuesday. Oh, pretty low miles on this old girl; 28,000 on a 10 year old car!!

The later in the year the sweeter they are!!!!! Well done Mr. Gobbler Killer...............................

One door closes........................................another opens.

You can have run down birds that have lost weight or have broken beards etc...so judging age with those two factors is suspect to me. Spurs (as noted above) are the best indicator.
-
Adult for sure.....how long are the spurs? They look better than an inch....... I'm guesstimating 3-4 years old by the looks of the spurs in the pic. Weight and beard mean little, IMO. The fan and the spurs generally tell you much. The upper limits of stats in MY opinion in this area are as follows.........in other words; you don't see many birds with: 1.25" + Spurs 23+ pounds 11" + beards For what its worth...........
-
The two birds were gobblers? I assume they were gobbling? You're in a blind? That field looks kind of tall, no? Was it a hen and a gobbler? If so I'd stay until the last dog was hung...............(if I didn't shoot myself first out of boredom) Talk to me Goose......................................

Oh that wasn't a dig, don't take it the wrong way. I can only imagine how you bust your hump............ I know plenty of people that would love a dozen or so workers that could keep up with you!
