Heck yea! Great job dad. Priceless doesn't describe it good enough, IMO. Pre-school graduation huh? Blink your eyes my friend and it'll be high school graduation.......I promise. You absolutely will not believe how fast the next 12 years will go....... What grade is the little princess now, 4th? (nice to see you around here!)

Today I filled out my first W-4 in about 32 years! The last one I inked was probably in 1983 when I went to work in a local service station as a mechanic. In 1985 I bought a franchise and sold it last October 31st so although I didn't need my own W-4 I sure filled out PLENTY of others forms! I have now taken a job in a construction/home improvement business that is owned by a friend. He called me a month or so ago and asked me to come aboard. He needed some help with sales and running crews so here we go...........another chapter in the book is starting. Wish my luck!

Cool deal......

Nice bird, he's a beauty!

Beats working for a living growie........... Today would have been a spectacular morning to be in the woods.
-
Nice prices but I don't like a belly full of writing. You can write a buck on the back side NOT on the front IMO.

Beauty of a morning to be cruising the Lake Road, How many boats, two or three?

Could be a different guy. It's a fairly common name.

Wooly.........................................you DO crack me up!

Believe me...............in a HUGE way: BTDT. I have worked my living butt off to kill one gobbler a year many times and NOBODY appreciates a spring bird as much as I do. Anybody, yes anybody can kill a deer. An adult spring gobbler is in a completely different league, especially if NOT killed from a blind. Homw many first time hunters kill big mature bucks? Plenty........ Not so with mature tom's. Stick with it Moog, it'll happen!

Oh and I'm not interested in signing up for their online reporting. I have enough damned passwords, pins and login BS to keep straight without adding one more for that.

Both times I tried to call the tags in there was trouble and they had to go with a live operator. The 1st person was fine, the 2nd one was a $@& %*^+£ if you know what I mean.

Way To Go! Sounds like a dandy hunt and suitable for video!!

Swinging hammers or running cows are both tough gigs Joe, keep THAT in mind.

Quite the thunder storm has been rolling through for the past 20 minutes and according to the radar has a ways to go. What a lightning storm! Best I've seen in quite a while.....

I have that book also and a couple others of his; Racks and Elkheart. Great reads. A good friend of mine has done some art work for David's books and is friends with him. When I hunted elk in 2004 it was with an outfitter that David guided for for a number of years, T. Mike Murphy.

Favorite I'm not sure but a few of the ones in my bookcase that I'm big on are as follows.... Hunting Trophy Deer by John Wooters One Man's Whitetail by Gene Wensel Bowhunting's Whitetail Masters by Dan Bertalan All of those are worthy of multiple reads and timeless.

You taught him everything he knows, right?!?! Atta boy.

Bone dry here today. We had a nice little burst last night but we're still in tough shape.

Oaks dropped bazillions of acorns in the Finger Lakes area I hunt. No frost kill there......

Oh crap.........

That's pretty cool WNYBH. After such a harsh winter you sure wouldn't expect it My very first spring gobbler was 23 lbs and a couple ounces, weighed on a scale of a super markets deli! I don't recall if it was in Greenwood or Canisteo but it sure was the hit of the morning! The year should have been 1982......... As far as I know I haven't killed one heavier...........

Ha! I forgot about that post, thanks Red. Good write up from Will Elliott...........

Doc Pelham was good friends with Al and his father too. I heard many stories about him but never had the pleasure of meeting him.
