What's a grouse? I think they are extinct, no?
-
I'll be up around Hayward Hill Rd. Not as high as say Harriet Hollister so hopefully it is gone. The spot I do my shooting at is going to be a swamp though so I doubt I'll be driving in too far. I have ammo to burn and smoke to make today! My buddy wants to go to the airport for breakfast, that can't be to far from you?? I don't think I'll be doing that though. I'll see if WNYbuckhunter wants to meet for coffee in Lima in a bit. I'm outa' here..........................................grins

Those are some pretty big piles there! I guess if you can get a head of steam up and have plenty of places to put it they'd work great. Has it all melted yet? I'm think I'm going to run down to Canadice tomorrow for some mental health R&R.

IIRC the "industry" bought all the outdoor writers that they could in an effort to promote their products. Lavish hunting trips to Ohio for starters........
-
Isn't THAT what it should all be about? Now we can add a little QDM and AR's to this one......................................
-
Remember how the "gun hunters" have bitched about bowhunters killing all the good bucks? Just watch what happens now..................................................
-
This is all you need to know........... Fact 1 When comparing a crossbow to a compound bowshot with a release, the only differences between them are: *The crossbow trigger mechanism holds the draw for shooters. *The crossbow’s bow assembly is positioned horizontally. *The crossbow is aimed like a rifle.

You really come up with some pearls once in a while.

I've also dropped some serious coin on pets. Seems each one has a big dollar problem at one point or another. Sometimes more than ONCE........................ A ten year old dog? I know, I know. I don't blame you...............I wouldn't have done it but sure can't fault your decision. Good luck with the pooch!!

Neat pics once again wooly.

I've used it all. Killed deer with the following: Recurve, longbow and compound Flintlock (patched round balls and real black powder) Inline ML and smokeless ML Shotgun Rifle Pistol (bolt action, scoped) At this point in my life I have zero interest in an crossbow. The only one I don't have pics of is the longbow deer. Killed her in Amherst on a nuisance tag in '97. (with a big 'ol Snuffer )

I'd say you could have a problem. Please keep us informed, good or bad. Best of luck.................

Any fish stories from today??

I call those bits "spade" bits. What fun are those hand cranks? I've used them and they work great but that drill looks like a hoot!!
-
I don't think I'd do that unless I was doing up a huge batch of potato salad. I can peel up a half dozen for dinner PDQ........ But what fun would THAT be?

You really have a hard on for the folks upstate. Jealous?

AND, AND, AND Crossbows!!!!

Funny how stubby68's grammar has improved with his post count. I think Doc nailed this one.......
-
Let's see if I got this straight........ You spot a deer in a field, pick out the one you "want", sneak to your stand, climb up(?) and shoot? No problem as they don't pay much attention to slow movers? Wait, what if my stand isn't near the deer, do I have to wait? If so, will it be long? I think I'm the "slow" one.......................damn, all the years "my" way. Lucky I could even kill a buck fawn.... Ha, I think stubby68 is gonna get the last laugh. Stud..........

Gay. That is 3:45 that I'll never get back......................I'd of blasted sooner but figured it HAD to get better. Nope. I never liked the guy and still don't.
