Clay Bird Thrower "Farey" Made In England
Lawdwaz posted a topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
I'm posting this for a friend. It is located in Hemlock, NY. If your interested, let me know and I'll hook you up. This is a Farey clay bird thrower. Made in England. Used by lots of sporting clays course owners. This unit is probably 15 years old, mounted on a sheet of plywood and maybe tossed a total of 500 birds. It really zings them out, singles or doubles. Very well made and clean. Always stored in my friends steel building, never left outside. Any questions, fire away. Thanks. Price, $325 and must be picked up in Hemlock. -
Pull up a log and tell us more.

Double band? Cool! It'll be interesting to find out when that dude got the bands. Make sure and let us know.

How high is your cam mounted? Creeks around here are really high!! Nice pics. (again)

Wow, great pics! Where in NYS did you find that snow?

I've refrained from posting on this one since the start. Glad to see the attitude of the mods is clearly stated. Did you hear the joke about the three guys that walked into the bar...............................................................

A safety vest isn't a bad idea in ANY stand!

I would think that the Summit would be a GREAT stand. They don't cut corners..... I've sat in a handful of JUNK ladder stands and it was torture. Spend the money on a good one and enjoy the ride!

None that I own but I've dealt with plenty of landlords AND tenants in my business and have help manage a couple. What's your question?

I'm looking forward to the outcome of THIS application!! GOOD LUCK!! Keep us posted and study hard in school.

I'd be darned surprised if it took 6 months. One friend got his about a year ago and it took over a year. Another friend & his wife are in the process right now. I'm not sure how long it has been. 28 years for me as a permit holder in Erie County. Took me 8 LONG months back then!!

Anyone ever have to use your pistol in a real life situation?
Lawdwaz replied to ELMER J. FUDD's topic in General Chit Chat
I had a guy level a shotgun at me about 25 years ago. Strange situation, really. It was spring gobbler season and I was catching a cat nap around 1:00 in the hot afternoon. I was parket at the end of a dead end road, snoozing in the back of my 1983 Ford Ranger. I had a cap on it, the gate was down and the hatch was open. I heard a voice say "what you doing?" As I knocked the sand from my eyes and focused on the voice, I recognized the man with the Browning A5 pointed my way. "Hey Willy, what the hell are you doing, point that gun someplace else" I said. We went round and round for a couple minutes, me in my truck with my hand on the S&W Model 37 under a coat near me. I was totally vulnerable in the situation but had no choice but hope for the best. Well, the reason he was so pissed is that the road has right away that a bulldozer couldn't get through but IF he wanted to try and go down it, I was in the way. Douche bag....................... To tell the truth, he was always felt threatened by me and thought I would sneak on his land behind his back. He bought the land in the early 80's and thought he was back in Germany with his buddies?? NOBODY went on his land. No problem. I have hunted next to his land, on MY buddies land since the 70's and have NEVER stepped foot on his place once. (Oh, I won't mention anything about him killing a doe on my buddies land and putting a doe tag on it from a different area or the violation he got from the DEC for baiting, all many years after the incident above) Well, I really did feel like my life was at risk but I sure as hell didn't want to show him I had my S&W. Things calmed down and I moved the truck. Dick head...................................<grin></grin> -
That ain't a gun, it's a brush cutter, bulldozer!

Not trying to talk over ya! I was just pointing it out, heck I haven't heard of all of them either!! Don't EVER feel under gunned by the .243 Winchester. Remember, it's the quality of the bullet and the placement that beats all. I have a very good friend who has killed a trailer load of deer in Pennsylvanina with the little 'ol .243. His mother has killed elk & moose with it. Absolutley nothing wrong with the .243 for deer. Reasonable ammo prices, low recoil and plenty of guns to choose from. What's not to like about it?

Maybe more information than the OP wanted. <grin>

What bullet did you use?

First thing I thought of.
