Why do they call it a "world record 8pt"? I din't think they have a catagory for 8pts? What is the World Record 12, 11, 10,9, 8, 7.........etc? Really. its just a huge buck with a great score but for an 8pt. Right? (freakin' HOG!)

Cool find! Yesterday I was riding down a side road and saw a cell phone lying in the gutter of the road. I backed up and had my wife grab it. Called the first name under "dialed" calls and got no answer from "mom". Tried the next one, "Kyle" and he answered. I said "hi, I just found this phone on the side of the road, do you recognize the number?" he said yea, it's my girlfriends" I said "do you know where she is?" He says "standing right next to me"! Well, within 60 seconds the phone that they didn't even know was gone was back in there hands! I've found and returned at least 6 cell phones and 3 wallets in the past 20 years. Fun tracking the folks down. All three wallet owners didn't even know they were gone. Found them in the following areas: Rt 20 (Broadway) just about 5 miles west of Texaco Town, Genesee st in Lancaster in front of Adams Nursery and Rt 20 (again!!) this time just east of Tom Wahls rest. in Avon.

If you buy a lower end unit, save your receipt. You will be disappointed. I had a pretty good Leupold 25x50 for 15+ years. It was a decent value but I sure wouldn't want to use it in low light. What ever you do, you want at least 65mm objective.

Shagbark hickory is the worst as the cable gets caught in the bark and then you are SOL. I've climbed some pines. I don't know if they were the red or whites?? No branches until you get WAY up. Noisy climbing but doable. Then there's the DEAD ones.............STAY OUT!!

Cool, what model did you get? Buy any extras? I use Summit bags on mine. had some lfet over from my other climbers. I use at least two bags, one side bag and one in the front with the zipper facing in towards me. I put my haul ropes in the side bag. Althou I bought a Chill Pad, I think I only used it a couple times. The side arm pads the sell are OK.
