  1. You're crossing the line and just begging for a time out sonny boy.
  2. Pictures seem allusive….. I hope the front lowers are on their way to deerage.com and we’ll see a few pics of the lower jaw PDQ. I had a bad day and need SOMETHING to brighten my evening. Lol
  3. This weekend looks way better for fishing than hunting around WNY.
  4. Get your mind out of the gutter........jeez. This is about shipping stuff in a box with four address labels stacked on top of each other. Instead of putting a fifth label on to I pull out the trusty heat gun and seconds later we have a nice clean box.....shipping box. I sold something on another site last night and searched high and low for the perfect size box; not too big and not too small. Ironically I had quite a good day as I sold something on ebay for a friend then sold a cube van for work on top of what I last night. Everybody should be happy?!?! The van was sold via Craigslist which continues to slowly spin down the drain. I had the van listed for a few weeks and probably had 20 scammers email me. Finally today this lugnut showed up and made an offer of cash we couldn't refuse. I'm glad to get that one off my plate......
  5. A good friend called me tonight looking for some advice. He has a CVA Accura 45cal that he hasn't liked since he bought it........I'm not exactly sure what the issues are but regardless; he'd like to replace it with something else. Something around $750 or less and he has a scope or two he could use. I'm not up on these type of inlines anymore and hope you fellers' could make some suggestions. Thanks
  6. By chance do you have a picture of that buck?
  7. Besides the boat launch and pleasure boaters, Silver Lake is great. Lol Nice job on the fishing John. Planning on hunting much this year?
  8. Frank’s for me. Had a pile of it in my chili tonight.
  9. Is the lower jaw in hand yet? Was the buck weighed? Congratulations chef.
  10. Huh, all this time I thought you were a Professional Sportsman?
  11. Wow, what the heck happened to the REST of the cape???
  12. Excellent Zeek, we’re all pulling for you. After a few days, you should drive down to civilization and get a report to us. Just a thought……
  13. That's a pretty telling post on a couple levels. You aren't familiar with canned venison I see......plenty of people still "can" venison and many other items.
  14. Not sure what you're getting at. If you're referencing the fact that I don't add anything to the canned meat jars I didn't say there was anything wrong with it, I choose not to. Sausage has nothing to do with the canning.
  15. No pork in my ground either.
  16. Nothing goes into the jar when I do it. A friend sticks some garlic in, I'll add that when I cook it. My favorite way to cook it is in a cast iron skillet; saute'd with onion, garlic and red wine. After a enough wine, the meat break down into small shredded pieces with a excellent flavor. Meanwhile, some scratch (who would use instant?) mashed potatoes have been made and some beef gravy too. I plop some potatoes in the middle of the plate, then meat and some gravy. To top it off, some frozen or fresh corn off the cob. Makes it like a Shepard's Pie. Knock your socks off.......... I don't can every year and sometimes I'll skip a couple years, I'm due this year.
  17. I had a local butcher that would cube some venison for me but only good stuff from the hindquarter. After awhile it got to be a pain for the butcher and it wasn't worth loosing the ground that we utilized better over the years in my family. If a guy or gal shoots more than one deer a year (some commenting here don't shoot one a year I'd bet) they might be looking for another option. Also, all the BS sausage, snack sticks, hotdogs, jerky etc is for the folks that aren't too keen on venison. YMMV
  18. "Paper thin cutlets"? Your butcher slices up all the good stuff paper thin for you, gives you the backstraps and a pile of other "chunks" you make into snack stix? LOL this is too good to be true!
  19. I’d hate to hear the experts opinion on canned venison.
  20. Thanks JP, I just ordered one.
  21. My friend is a member (NOT a carver!) in an organization for horn carvers. He got interested by a couple guys he met in Pennsylvania a number of years ago. The put out a very nice magazine……..I don’t recall the name of it though. The OP is probably a member?
