For our permanent stands a few weeks b4 season we install boat seats to a frame then to the base of the stand. Super comfortable and it swivels. My lower back tends to get stiff these seat deff help!!

When I had a large property to hunt id just move from one stand to another to break it up a bit. Now I just have to many other responsibilities and sneak out after 3 or 4 hrs get some things done head out for the last 2 1/2.

Its exciting for sure. I have to say im kinda worried about being in one of our stands that's close to prop line. Not worried about me just everyone else I guess.

7 doe no bucks. Trying a new strategy for tomorrow a.m.'s hunt, setting up between 2 bedding area's instead of setting up next to one.

Only saw a 6pt and a half rack. Half rack would have been around 100-110 if he had both sides. I drew on him and decided to wait. There's bigger. I come out and say to my dad, did u see those two bucks come from behind the house he say no, did u see the big one he was heading your way. Damn it I never saw him.

I just don't get it. So I drive around looking for a big bk, get one cut the head off and run. Then what?? Hide them?? I wouldn't want them hanging around. I just don't get the point of it such a waist. Hopefully KARMA bites them good!!

Saw 7pt and two half racks. Walking in I hear chasing going on but I continue on towards my stand. Then 3 doe come my way. They snort and take off, I snort wheeze and grunt with my mouth. I hear a crash and one coming my way all stiff legged in the brush. We must have been 20-30yrds apart. Then I hear him start walking away does a deep grunt followed by a wheeze and takes off on the chase. Land owner said they saw a giant back there a week ago!! Then 10am came and it was decision time, crap myself or get out. I stayed..just kidding

Faintail, we used a 4100 jd. Some off the stumps were tough, but found it easier to dig up the roots around the stump first then work up the stump. -

For us it was just the cost of gas. It took some time to accomplish. Biggest cost is simply time. It goes fast droppin tree's then u look around and it looks like a bomb went off. We also had a tractor with a backhoe to dig out most of the stumps. Cost in my opinion is pretty cheap/rewards. Another thing to keep in mind is TSI. We did that about 5yrs ago, got paid improving our land, so really I look at the food plot as free. I will say our property has had a significant jump in deer activity since. Well worth it!! -
Great morning tons of doe and a 6pt that I could have put a 5yrd shot on. I hated leaving the stand at q after 8 for a doctors appt. I was thinking why did I schedule this apt so freakin early. I got there at 9 only to hear it was at noon. Damn idiot!!
