  1. i think the pain in the neck part is the issue. Your experience should be BETTER, not worse. And the kicker is they're asking for equal pay. There's a stereotypical walmart cashier that we all know. They're super slow, sometimes talking to their coworker or even on the phone and they want more money for performing worse than the machine next to them.
  2. 3rd. still pretty cool given the scope and competition.
  3. tops was/is a union. little good did that do me when I told them i was competing in state super sectionals for track and field and they fired me for not coming to work. if i knew a little more about the world i probably would have got a hold of the union and at least made management's life difficult. I was in the grocery dept. and saturday night was turnover night. I get it. But you hire high school kids and penalize them for excelling in sports? Later went on to work at chase pitkin and they had the exact opposite approach and rewarded student athletes. that right there is why wegmans does well.
  4. regrettably i get slower and worse service from cashiers, than the machine. and i worked as a cashier at tops in my teens. we had competitions for items per minute though between friends so there are good ones out there.
  5. there is no absolute rule for sure. At some point though, as you mentioned i'd just sit in a blind instead of 10'. Safer, more comfy and much better cover.
  6. yeah please post pics when it's done. Nothing better than a smile on someones face who just caught a fish. Here's one of my 6 year old from last week up north for inspiration.
  7. i think 10 is way too short even with cover. At some point we have to remember there is also an advantage to height as far as visibility. We can see farther and identify deer sooner at greater heights. It's not just a cover thing.
  8. i found out last week that some of the produce now have a barcode on their stickers, so you can scan then weigh. wasn't too bad. f'n hippies! haha
  9. Not much, but I hope it helps -Brandon aka Belo
  10. i just wanted to clarify for others that's all. You're correct in that the lawsuit will be tough to win. but always keep an eyebrow raised with the billions and billions of dollars behind it. Money rules the world.
  11. you made my point. You never liked football before and you don't like it now either. Yet you've entered into a thread about the nfl to muck it up. One thing I've noticed in my life about those who pick political extremes, is that they can never accept some people are into things that they are not and what makes someone else happy can be vastly different from their own. I enjoy the escape from reality, the emotional swings that come with sports and more importantly that my kids are participating and learning valuable skills. I enjoy catching a game with a buddy I haven't seen in a while. We will spend far more time bs'ing than watching, but the game is the excuse to get together. I enjoy friendly bets with my cowboys fan brother in law and the fantasy football league I've been in for 15 years, all still with good friends from college. If those things aren't for you, that's fine. But you don't have to knock it down for others.
  12. as someone mentioned earlier, it's all terrain dependent. We have a few stands on the side of a ridge. If you're not up high enough, you're eye level with the deer above you on the ridge. Honestly, once you get past 20' it's not much of a different. But 30 is the exception for sure. As archers, we're also aware that too steep an angle on a deer that might come in under 15 yards would create a higher probability of a single lung shot due to the angle.
  13. congrats man. i bet some of those from the famous daughter thread would be elated at this news. ps your wife has a nice butt
  14. black man hurt your feelings again? you knew what this thread was about and had to come in and remind everyone how you feel anyhow?
  15. all of ours are 20 and up. some close to 30.
  16. the EPA protects the environment, and with regards to human health their concern is large pollution and how it'd impact human health, whereas branches like OSHA and the FDA would be a better source. But good luck with them putting out a statement in this political world.
  17. if you're using it safely and just for some food plots here and there you're not at risk. Those at risk are the large commercial farmers, and typically those that weren't using good handling practices. and by safely, I mean you shouldn't be walking around spraying it by hand in shorts so that it's contacting your skin. You should use nitrile gloves when handling and mixing and use your best judgment with wind direction if spraying mechanically, especially if an open tractor. These are just general best practices for chemical handling, but the label will give you more specifics.
  18. i thought it was pretty hilarious that Venezuela of all places is warning it's citizens about visiting the US and cites cities like Baltimore lol https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2019/08/06/mass-shootings-force-foreign-countries-issue-us-travel-warnings/1930215001/
  19. if it's not the same, they're from the same line. What's throwing me off is the brow tines. But i've never been one to follow a buck from season to season so I'm not versed in what to look for either.
  20. ditto. very good idea even if you're in great health and well prepared you just never know.
  21. not going to read the threads because of spoilers. I really liked season 1. it helped filled the hole left behind by longmire. in a tv world where there are just so many similar shows, this is a nice change of pace. I don't get a lot of tv time in summer so i typically save up and watch the whole season in the fall. I will admit I could have done without some of the drama with the son. I know people like that family conflict stuff, and i'm not sure if it's the actor or something else, but I just wasn't interested in it.
  22. i'd be there in a heartbeat if it was closer. nothing better than free wood
  23. nice job! Seems like you could have saved some time and money by just shooting small doe though
