  1. the guy got hosed by a raffle. what's a better 1 word description of his situation?
  2. has Shane from the walking dead and also the punisher been a member here the whole time!?
  3. no lawyer here either, but i imagine whether the money is recouped the judgment becomes an official record and possibly public knowledge and could affect future misdeeds by the club and affect a business BBB rating etc. as others said, it sure would go a long ways in protecting a future victim.
  4. worst I've left is a grunt tube. I agree that some are more prone than others and I'm not one, but we're all human and things happen. I've also left a turkey diaphragm call on the ground next to where I was sitting and accidentally lost a few things of course. there's a cool story about guys who came upon a somewhat recent moose gutout in alaska that had heavy bear and critter trails going to it. The pile was licked clean and there was a shiny, almost new looking leatherman let in the middle of the grass. You can imagine the hunter loses it in the pile and then it's revealed later after the scavengers clean up the mess.
  5. if you haven't left a quiver, binos or call hanging in the tree, you haven't hunted long enough. I guess to your defense biz, i know you're a ground hunter so maybe it's less common, but I cant believe you haven't set a water bottle or something down, had some shit hit the fan and forgot it.
  6. we had a great salad sunday night with our first batch. goat cheese, strawberries, blueberries and some leafy greens. love the fresh cukes!
  7. PS so many years later all the safe act did was kind of take away some scary black guns, for which we have alternatives for, and pause online sales of ammo for a short period of time. Those were the major points of the bill and they're being slowly chipped away
  8. not legal advice, but having more than 7 rounds in your mag is kind of like removing your front plate from your sports car. It's unlikely to cause you grief, but it is a reason for them to hold you or dig deeper, for example if you've had a glass of wine or 2 while eating out. It's still gray enough for me that I carry 7. However, in my safe and the gun by my bedside it's possible that there might be mags that have even more than 10. Which is of course to protect my family, for which I'm happy to face the consequences should I ever need to. I'd rather be judged by 6 than carried by 12.
  9. really good couple friends of ours are teachers there and absolutely love it. They're not about having their own kids yet and it affords them the luxury to travel the world and stockpile their income. It's not for everyone, but for those that are interested it's a great opportunity.
  10. oh wow. it's not grammar man. it's incoherent. And the cherry on top is that you can change your pic and name as often as you want and we all know who it is, just by your style of writing. And for the record, I will only pick on someone's writing when they start calling others dumb.
  11. nah not that part watson. it's all good. just thought it was funny is all. moving on.
  12. not sure why this got so personal for you, or what's hard to understand about what I said. It's their opinion that the fundamental change will improve this country. Or do you truly believe in their heart of hearts they believe their actions will destroy the country and that's their goal?
  13. Tons of beans so far, squash is coming in good. Lettuce and spinach producing and just got our first batch of cucumbers. And typical for us, peppers are taking their sweet time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. i'm going to try some more throw and grow, limited till in my "bow stand plots". props to you guys who work those big acre plots. I'd love to be able to have this opportunity some day.
  15. yall know that only 1 of those 4 wasn't born in the US right? And yall agree one of the most american things you can do is to try and better the country you live in right? M.A.G.A is a slogan that essentially says the same thing. American isn't great and needs to be fixed. Lets just simplify it. We (myself included), just don't agree with their approach to improving this country. It's not racist, it's not any more complicated, but it is why we have a 2 party system and why the country is so divided. Despite the goal being the same.
  16. i'd be worried that the meat wouldn't absorb the smoke well after it's "cooked". Plenty of catering and wedding places do sous vide all their meat in advance and then they throw them on the grill to sear them. Really shortens the process and allows them to crank out a ton of steaks fast.
  17. love that stuff. even the sugar free version is good.
  18. i have this (or at least some generation of it). It comes with a cap clip and the straps. It's a little heavy but gives you the option for green and red lenses and 2 brightness settings. The high setting is plenty bright and it's good on batteries. I typically run the green lens on low. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Primos-Top-Gun-LED-Headlamp-62339/19225276
  19. classic. ps. you don't get locked up for that.
  20. custom ordered. I was actually happy it came in last week but we were buys. This thing shoots amazing. There is no vibration and hardly any noise, 15 year old switchback was great to me, but I'm really happy with this bow. After a dozen FMJ's and a new spot hogg site though... the wallet is hurting.
  21. i shortened hour 2 because of time and i honestly thing it hurt the "fall off the bone" or maybe the other steps were too long. Will experiment more.
