  1. the video is great. we're peacefully protesting. No. You're hurting his livelihood... and what they are asking for? For him to offer vegan meat like options. If you want to eat meat like option, eat meat lol. Another good analogy i heard was this is the equivalent of showing up at a vegan restaurant and demanding they offer meat options.
  2. saw this on fb last night. love it. wish they were closer, i'd eat there just to show my support. Probably wear full camo too!
  3. I have quite a few liberal friends who aren't big fans of guns. Many of the grew up on L.I for whatever that's worth. Want changes made to our laws but generally aren't calling for a ban. Say guys like me are fear mongering and nobody is coming for our guns. And then of course major media outlets (however biased) publish stuff like this. enjoy https://www.nytimes.com/2018/03/27/opinion/john-paul-stevens-repeal-second-amendment.html
  4. anyone else come in because they had no idea what this topic was about?
  5. clearly you've never spoken to a vegan if you think you might learn something
  6. no disagreement. but take the high road meat eaters. If you're a white heterosexual male who eats meat the world is against you. So just take the high road. It's more rewarding to smile kindly and bless their heart. That REALLY gets under their skin. They want a fight. Don't give it.
  7. I spent 2 years in the south. Almost all management was "imported" from the north. While the cost of labor and living is substantially cheaper, in addition to more employer friendly regulations. The talent is just not there. Now please don't take that as a jab to the people. They're hard working and great people. But there isn't as much history and competition to pull from. My company made carbon fiber jet engines. We literally hold your life in our hands when you fly. And no joke, 90% of our production workers had no prior manufacturing experience. They came from retail, food and the farm. Turnover was high but we did get some great workers too. My point is that you can't just pickup decades worth of knowledge in skilled trades like Remington has in NY and move to the south and expect it to translate easily... and it's a shame the state has forced many businesses (not just firearms) to do just that.
  8. I'm always interested in the story behind vehicles less than a year old being for sale. congrats btw and get yourself a bedliner!
  9. um... Rebel's comment is just stating a fact. As hunters we all know how the cold and warm weather will affect bodies.
  10. they'll do fine when they get out of new york.
  11. do you guys switch up calls often in the woods? I will usually go between a couple. But wondering if I should be swapping through more until I get a response.
  12. it doesn't matter why. Let them do them. It doesn't affect us. We ask the same in return right?
  13. yes we all know about your awesomeness
  14. I can know about everything and not be good at it. silly goose
  15. this is like the guy who hunts in his work cloths. yes it can work, but i'm all about increasing my odds if I'm getting up at 4am on a saturday lol.
  16. interesting about trimming the calls. I've had flextones for the last 3 years and never did that and they are a little uncomfortable. all good tips guys thanks.
  17. type 1 diabetic here. 29 years and counting. lean meat (venison) with veggies and keeping carbs low is THE best diet for people with our condition. There is no argument. It's fact. protein is needed to sustain and stabilize blood surgars. carbs will cause a spike. and everyone knows veggies are good.
  18. i've heard that and never done it. maybe i'll start this year. seems like the sanitary thing to do too.
  19. didn't read the article. but i take exception with your statement. I have no problem with someone who wants to eat vegan. That's their choice. Of course I don't like it if they're shoving it in my face. But I think as hunters we expect the same curtsy. If you're not a hunter that's fine, but don't be in my face about my right to hunt, and label me as a redneck, hillbilly or having a need to prove my manhood. In turn, I wont be in the face of a vegan for not eating meat.
  20. yeah i'm not a great caller either. so ease of use is important.
  21. I prefer my box and slate, but have a few older mouth calls that need replacing. Not looking for anything crazy expensive. Any recommendations on some affordable, but effective calls you like? I usually use mouth while run n' gun or if birds are in close.
  22. don't disagree. Not a member anymore. Just letting everyone know they are a resource if you oppose this legislation. Those that support it know what to do as well.
  23. i have paid for plenty of state and national forests. But by and large most are free to utilize. Imagine a boat ramp fee for a pond in the daks?
  24. My friends at NYB just sent me an email with a pre-populated message that will reach all the appropriate people. PM me if you want the link.
