  1. The battery sucks on my iPhone and I guess I'm not familiar with an app that has topo maps and works well with poor cell reception. I'm about as techy as it gets but there are too many variables with a phone to trust it when hiking in a 500k acre national forest.
  2. Well that ostrich joke lead to one hell of a real story. That one needs its own thread.
  3. I would agree. We should archive the crossbow section right?
  4. Just a heads up, Cabelas has a garmin 62st for $229 free shipping online and bass pro even cheaper in store only with some added accessories. I just ordered one to help me scout stateland. Comes with the topo maps.
  5. Do their eyes follow you up the stairs? Great mounts man.
  6. You're quoting Larry, not me. I'm confused at your comment.
  7. Tough to have a deer gun that can do that, let alone in NY.., even with multiple hunters.
  8. There's nothing interesting about that, it states without the landowners permission. I thought all of us with a lease were courteous enough to ask first...
  9. It's not. It's an ostrich I agree.
  10. All my gizmos would cover the whole deer. My gizmos make me a good Hunter
  11. Ditto. I've got a Sam Adams winter mix pack and some vanilla porter. Enough to knock me out early and get up early.
  12. Probably a wolf. Easily 175lb. Congrats man!
  13. Ditto. Few things in life are more frustrating than bow hunting... Which leads to it being so rewarding.
  14. Wtf are you talking about? I never said it wasn't a conservation law. Jesus quote me before you spout nonsense. I said it wasn't a HUNTING regulation.
  15. You know exactly what I meant by ARs. Your post strictly called out regulations as a reason hunters are leaving and why we may not be able to get more boots on the ground. You may believe that other hunters are driving out hunters but that's not what you said. Honestly poachers and trespassers can drive away just as many hunters as those "elitists" who speak out against them. So again, all recent regulations have been made in an attempt to increase Hunter numbers and I don't know of one to drive anyone away. Proposed and implemented are not the same thing.
  16. what does that have to do with your statement. I asked you a question. Please answer. There are no ARs, just debate. So again, what regulations have turned hunters away?
  17. we give our hearts to a lady who raises wolfs in syracuse... ha that just got me thinking about the coyote thread.
