  1. you're right. i actually read that later on in a USA today article. It's funny how liberals and conservatives a like will misrepresent a story to gain support for their side. some places "govt buildings, banks, bars, parks" do not allow cc. Should you get caught you're in trouble. Now I come from the school that i'd rather deal with the consequences than be harmed, but the law is still the law. Some think they're cc is perfect, but anything can happen that can leaver your weapon exposed. it's very real. how much you think a target manager makes? and even if it's a lot, are you going to stop these guys? It's not illegal.
  2. I'm not sure we're losing in a big way. I think general culture is pushing towards freedom. Freedom to marry who you want, freedom to express your beliefs etc. I've seen tolerance towards hunting getting better. Although posing in front of Simba is not going to be popular. Deer, turkey, fish etc. have been accepted. African game will always be questionable. I myself do not care for it, but am not going to protest it. The other interesting thing about game farms is that people are hating against animals being raised solely for hunting. Like it's any different than cattle and chicken...
  3. Seems most conservatives are actually against this if you read the comments https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=491043684362148&id=133352176797969
  4. If I remember right her family also owns one of those safari ranches in Texas
  5. So Target just passed a rule not allowing open carry. I guess I just don't see the need for walking into a store with a long gun on my shoulder. What say you?
  6. If you read her Facebook posts, the comments will infuriate you. It's interesting that some of these are fenced hunts, although hugeeee fences. Very hypocritical to see the death threats.
  7. Not sure how many of you have seen this story. What are your thoughts? http://www.today.com/news/teenage-hunter-under-fire-posing-dead-animals-facebook-1D79876418 her facebook response https://www.facebook.com/rpolyachenko/posts/10100422834034462
  8. Would you prefer all non-NY NRA members just ignore your cause? Do you not want the support of the other 49?
  9. Just a discussion to pass the time in the offseason. Sometimes we talk like every shot we make is perfect. I can kill a buck with a field point, but it doesn't make it an ok selection. When hunting I prefer a round that will help most compensate for an imperfect shot. Hence why a lot of us use hollow points too.
  10. No... But there is such thing with minimizes loss of meat. I'm not against the 300 but I do understand the pros and cons
  11. For sure I'm the only one working for a large cooperation who has relocated to further his career. I mean, what ever happened with to the American dream of working hard to gain success? And life is good. Comfortable and good. Thanks for your concern.
  12. it's a carry. Now that I'm in a gun friendly state I have ordered an LCP and am shopping for a 1911 for a big .45 I ran for the $$$. Guns had nothing to do with it, but the timing was nice. NY no longer gets any of my tax dollars. While I'm a drop in a large pond, leaving the state and it's sh!tty laws and high taxes (like the gun manufacturers are doing), is the only way to get them to realize what they've done. And judging by the commercials I see on TV encouraging business to move to NY (haha), we're on our way. Nothing speaks more than the dollar. In fact, that just gave me an idea. All you bad ass outlaws should just stop paying your taxes. that'll show em! What's the worst that could happen?
  13. Well so sorry your majesty. I had no idea how holier than thou you are. I will surely not make that mistake again.check out what's legal in my state
  14. I've done a light mist once or twice but not routinely. Positive it was the spray?
  15. the term "dude" or "buddy" etc. aren't negative terms. I work in senior management with executives and a lot of us use those terms. So, chances are i would use it to your face, but I would not have known it was offensive. Again, relax a little.
  16. just for giggles, as I've never shot a 300, wouldn't an older guy be geared more towards a 270 if likes life easier?
  17. it's legal and if you absolutely want to, then go for it. My .02 is that it's too much and not worth the kick and loss of meat. Also, sometimes the bigger kick can lead to a flinch and a poor shot. Post some pics in the fall
  18. I have a plane old Plano. Nice case but No extra room and I'll tell you this. Don't take your quiver off and lay it in there. Had a broadheads nick a string and my string snapped on me while drawing on a nice 8. D'Oh
  19. I left NY 1/2/14. I now live a state where I can own and shoot what I want. I make a very nice salary and no longer contribute anything to NY. Happy?
  20. Dude nobody is arguing in favor of it. We are simply saying that we're not quite ready to be convicted felons. An unjust law is still a law.
