  1. The Dr that did mine advertise scheduling the procedure the morning before the NCAA basketball tourney. Said you will have an excuse to sit and watch all the games.
  2. They are doing this already. There was a case out near Buffalo where they took away his guns based on Medical records and it turn out the be the wrong person. Not a question if they will do it, just a matter of when they will knock on your door. Their end game is the elimination of all firearms. Well all legal ones.
  3. Why didn't they mention the big tax breaks the Wilmont's got to bring us this store? Wonder if they will pass those breaks on to F&S?
  4. I would think as grow stated, one would have better fortunes trying to look south or west instead of Rush/Mendon. Of course there is good public land south of you. If you choose not to use them that means more for me.
  5. One day I hope to return to PA for the flintlock seasons. Have fond memories of heading to the woods with my day the day after Christmas with the smoke pole.
  6. Yes they have but transferring funds from the Military to Health and Human services is not reducing the size of government, just switch which cookie jar your hand is in.
  7. First off congrats. Second, I wouldn't recommend going out, even if she says it okay. It is never okay. Guessing you will learn that lesson soon. Best of Luck!
  8. I would also agree with the guys recommending the LW hang on and sticks. I have the hang on and a solids stick/ladder. Stand is nice and solid but the ladder stick has limitations. I will be buying the LW stick when I can spare and arm and leg.
  9. I have a LW sit and climb. I haven't experienced any of the "problems" previously stated. Love the stand. Light weight, super quiet and you can go wrong with the build in bow holder. I find the traction belt to be an asset of the stand. Easy to adjust and grips the tree. I also found it easy to step over the sit and climb bar and secure it in place providing an open stand. My only problem is the price. I would hate to have to buy another one.
  10. I was looking at Cabelas today and saw they have their brand name base layers on sale. Some up to 50% off. I don't own any but that is a good price and the product is probably similar to UA.
  11. Of course it is negative. Why you give away old used gear to someone just starting out. If you were a real hunter you would get them new equipment so there would no doubt of equipment failure. Just can't stomach the though of the wounded deer out there from the bad equipment you give away.
  12. It is looking at the house thinking, where is the landscaping...I'm hungry.
  13. It is only a step in the right direction if you want single payer government run system. The idea the Republicans "just had to do something" is false. Doing nothing would be better then where we are now.
  14. Obama hasn't failed with healthcare...it is just the means to the end. There plan all along is a single payer system...they have been working towards that since Hillary. If they completely destroy the system we have now there will be no choice but for the government to take over. Just ask GM.
  15. Brittney's make a great bird dog. Had several of them. They would hunt all day and when they realized we where heading for the truck they always found another gear trying to convince us to stay. Wonderful dog at home too.
  16. The wind along the lake shore pick up too much for the 10" white pine I was in. Called it a day.
  17. Last time I trust you guys for my weather report. Cozied up in my stand and the sky opened up. Better in my stand then sleeping. Should stop by legal shooting time.
  18. I also tried Joe's before I knew better. Deer was not deboned, just hacked up on the band saw. Could be my fault for not asking ahead of time. Haven't been back for deer processing. I have been back for commercial products. Those where fine.
  19. The Democrat and Chronicle had a very interesting article about how little of an economic impact the Seneca casinos have had.
  20. Typical response from you making assumption and trying to read between the lines. I stated why I will voted against it. Did you know buying a gun raffle ticket is gambling?
  21. Last time I checked there are numerous ways to gamble in NY. Feel free to choose one of those. If you tell me I can't own certain firearms then why can't gambling be limited to crappy video lottery systems. Sounds fair to me.
  22. Building a "real" casino in NY will not create new gamblers. It will generate a fraction of the revenue they claim. Why would someone from PA, NJ or CT come to NY to gamble? They can already do that in their backyard. Look how well Atlantic City is doing. They have been losing money ever since PA allowed casinos. Will probably file bankruptcy within the year. And if it is so good for NY, why only 7 located downstate and along the Hudson. Put one in my back yard so I can save some gas money. As others stated... King Andy's for it, I am against it.
  23. Just post his back tag number and we'll take care of the rest...you can get back to hunting. Not sure I would turn in my father, then again I don't think my father would have puy me in that position. Like it or not the rules are there and apply to everyone. Breaking the rules only cause the rule makers to devise new rules that end up screwing the fine folks who follow them. Obviously the rule breaks don't care.
  24. 2 options. Get above the laurel or find where the deer enter/exit into other areas of the forest. That's how we hunted it in the Poconos.
