I would recommend buying one that does not have frost free feature. Food will last longer if it doesn't go through the defrost cycle. If you are diligent about getting an air tight seal the affect will be less.
A 1960's Ariens 24" snowblower. Works like a champ and doesn't have all those OSHA safety features. I line it up, let go of the handle and watch it go.

Look for Hotfingers gloves. They sell online and a limit selection in Dick's sporting goods. Very warm and provide good dexterity. Not overly bulky.
I generally have warm hands and after shoveling and snowblowing they will be soaked with sweat.
