  1. I sure can fault ya for the decision. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  2. I actually switched it out for bud light. All my parents had to offer at the house for now. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  3. Choking down one until. I can find better stuff nearby down here at the house. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  4. Duke is playing in socks. Cuse is totally going to win.
  5. i've heard from well respected folks who are plugged into what's going on and whitetail biologists. unfortunately it's a political and to get a boost in funds to do research but it's likely not going to lead to what's been said. Phade brought up a good point that if what they say is true then curing people would be first on the list, not last with deer farms being a higher priority.
  6. Land shark is a go to when on vacation. More favor than Corona I think. Add a real lime and it's even better. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  7. My parents are moving into the new house down there in Florida. Yesterday evening they were chilling out in the backyard and mom took this picture. I'm sure crappy beer would taste just fine down there. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. i was against one. unknowing parents got one for our 4 yr old. so now we have one. it's unplugged much of the time. if it's unplugged it's not on and if it's not on it can't get hacked.
  9. i have one too. it gets abused. agreed edge is ok. seems like i use it for all the abusive jobs i've got. seems to have help up but isn't really my go to knife.
  10. Sounds promising but that's were it ends from what I've been told. Politics makes the world go 'round.... and end up back where you started. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. despite i'm an engineer give me 10 of those and i'd trade them in a second for something like Roosevelt's Adolph double.
  12. VG10 is something more for chef knives. you don't want that i would think. i don't much about SK-5 other than it's like D2 tool steel but less brittle at same hardness supposedly, so it has to be alright. Googled the knife you mentioned. Seems solid with a thick blade. don't try holding a thinner edge and should work fine.
  13. damn. hang in there. you get a long enough stretch without a rainy day some time. then you have it for a life time.
  14. retirement, rainy day funds, kid college funds all get in the way. doesn't do much good to take the rest with ya when you're gone though. i'm sure both are "just a phase" you grow out of it and into something else. as you know this stuff isn't as bad as the motor sports stuff those atvs, snomobiles, UTVs, etc are expensive.
  15. if i didn't already have rifles to serve the same purpose (one being a Savage heavy barrel) I'd be all over it to. my savage model 10 is also the most accurate gun i own.
  16. bit by the tactical bug and trad bug all at once. lucky you.
  17. i couldn't warm up to shooting spots indoors. 3D is where it's at!
  18. no idea about his deer but there's this.... https://www.qdma.com/mild-winters-mean-smaller-antlers/
  19. yes for free range deer, for his not sure. i would guess they probably have access to plenty of water and high quality food to make poor growing season moot.
  20. It's how this all works chief. research is done for a while, people understand stuff, and then there's new insight. all for not? hardly. Maybe this is something else that won't be the means to an end. We'll see. Seems promising though. Should be happy all you worked for in the near future won't get purged from the earth if CWD does show up inside your fence. probably open up the idea of shipping deer around the country too.
  21. list is long. house was a foreclosure and flipped by a company. still I didn't even notice that. busy seeing other stuff i know about like the fin tube pipe to the right of bench is on a zone that doesn't make any sense and wasting heat. already fixed piping that must have froze previously in one of the bedrooms and then got a poor sweat job that started leaking, so much for the new carpet they put in. the company i bought it from added a shutoff switch for the boiler (one of the conditions of sale) that they wired wrong, so when i went to turn the boiler back on this past fall it'd trip the breaker. missed it in the walk through but the vent pipe to the oil tank was PVC, so i replaced that so someone would finally deliver me fuel oil. not sure how they got deliveries before with it not to code. when it warms up i have to pull siding and flash the deck so water isn't running behind the siding in some spots (checked behind the siding and nothing's rotted or has water damage yet. hooked up the vent pipe for the new dryer and the assembly came right out of the wall (they never clamped or fastened the sections, just pushed them together). i'd keep going but you got the idea. lol it's a good house overall that's only 18 yrs old and don't regret the purchase. lot of "handyman" work others did to it that needs to be fixed though. luckily i've got friends and family in different trades if i get in over my head with anything.
  22. honestly i don't remember where i left off last i tinkered with it. notes are buried with the rest of the archery stuff in boxes still from moving. it was unstrung but with the string loop still around the limb. i just strung it up as it was. i'll keep playing around. probably just me.
  23. missed this. i was thinking about heading to Tree House. They had a good selection in cans available including a couple stouts.
