  1. all situations were different and not as bad as this instance. it happened a few years around 2012 and just last year. I know because i have to cross the river to get from rensselaer county to work in albany. last year a bunch got loose south of here. one got loose up north but they got to it quick. this time it was different as a couple made contact with different bridges in this area. google search is buried with recent reports, so no i don't have other links to post.
  2. i don't think so. large floating whatevers have been loose before on the Hudson. it's because of the high water level from all the snow melting plus the inches of rain we got i think. broke the moorings because they had no where else to go. unsure if one up river made contact with the other. I've been on both. one was a floating barge that was a seasonal restaurant.
  3. The Upper Hudson River Valley QDMA branch will be having our annual branch banquet on Saturday, March 9th, located in Greenwich, NY. If your in the Rensselaer, Washington, Saratoga, Warren county is the area we represent but all are welcome! Prizes for any one in your family. Always a good time and packed house. We sell out every year so don't wait to get tickets if you want to go. PM me on here or call the number in the flyer attached if you're trolling with no HuntingNY account to PM me. These banquets are the Whitetail events of the year for each of their areas! Local small business are always welcomed to be sponsors too I hopes we bring you more business walking through your doors and a little bit of a tax write off for what you donate. - Dan
  4. they will be popping up throughout NY. I should probably post ours on here.
  5. HA!.... i did that. she won't lose it to save a child. I could definitely get the Sheridan WY commemorative edition. or a couple MarkV Carbon barreled jobs.
  6. its out there in the sticks. people end up going to burlington and hit alchemist but not there unless they make it a real point to.
  7. About a 30+ minute drive for me. Something tells me if I go see her itll cost me money. I already used my beer money for the week. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  8. SoB passed on that one too. Oh well more beer to come anyway. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  9. I passed on picking some up a like a month ago maybe. I wondered if it was any good. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  10. Couple from Grimm are on standby in the fridge that I'll post. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  11. I just walked by it last night. At a place in troy. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
  12. Forget the crossbow that's old technology. airbow is just for felons. Time for us all to get a Traditions Crackshot XBR!! Can't wait for full inclusion into archery season! It's the only archery gun you'll ever own.
  13. awesome. when you posting your video?
  14. With the Ritual 35 how was the draw and hold compared to the 33? seems like it'd be more stable but hold and draw the same. string angle shouldn't be much different to matter with your draw length.
  15. i'm all for less plastic and other materials getting tossed in landfills that just don't breakdown. at least blades will rust away. honestly close enough is practical.
  16. i work for an engineering firm and I'll vouch that this is definitely true.
  17. nothing specific and in all honesty usually try stuff i've never had. i drink pretty much everything. just not big on the prevalently coffee favored stouts. alchemist, burlington area, and hill farmstead can't be done in one day trip. heading southeast can be a trip during the day to treehouse. i like to see breweries too. might as well.
  18. The Gillette ad sucked. first past almost assumes that all men are bad. i'm not tossing what i already bought. i might look into larry's double edge safety razor, brush, and soap. i buy stuff because it's cheap so i can give the rest of my family what they need or want. such an asshole of me i know.
  19. it's not. don't have the crisp pull. texture is the same at first but it pulls apart differently. for that effort i agree. i don't smoke or brine it. you make up or use store bought sauces as a binder. and then dry seasoning for curing and added favor. mix it up and then shoot it from a gun onto dehydrator trays. it doesn't take an hour even if you milk the whole process for all it's worth (minus the dehydration/cooking part). easier to give some to work, family, and friends that way.
  20. all this cold i might have to make a trip somewhere. local places aren't stocking much that isn't already available anywhere.
  21. i have a slicer if i was to make jerky that way. i've gone to using ground meat though. save the better cuts for roasts, steaks, etc.
  22. he marinates it in chili first. lol
