the one thing i did that i regret is i bought a cheap apple archery press. can't really take down a bow fully to get the limbs off.
-
i think i'd get the short version if i did. not sure if you got the 30 or 33.

Chef and Biz just died inside .... a little. I'm all for it. so much better than the Mathews. that'll stack deer at 50 lbs all season.

such a relaxing hobby. helps you block out the rest of the world i'd imagine. i mean whether you can hear them or not. looks good.

love the idea prime makes a solid riser that can make or break a bow more than anything. prime isn't too big out this way and don't see much used from them.

as long as the targets shaded and/or shot up a little, it's just another hole that's less than the mass gathering of arrows somewhere around the X ring. many reface there 3D targets though which helps pick out the outline of the rings again.

it depends. competition is usually looking for the newest most forgiving and shootable bow out there. still i've gotten away and done well with a bow a few years old. hunting is totaling subjective. new is nice but a bit older still does just fine in comparison. price of a traditional bow stays flat and no longer depreciates. my super kodiak that Bear sent me a handful of years ago is probably worth the same as airdale's that's from the late 60's. price of a compound will be worth practically nothing but have sentimental value despite never being an heirloom. i know a guy that's taken over 50 deer with his Mathews, still used to this day. you couldn't buy that bow from him for any price, but to someone else it's worth a find at a garage sale for a $20 bill. i used to buy the best flagship bow out but now i buy used or leftover bows i can get a deal on that are just a few years old if that. my primary hunting bow is a 2011 PSE Evo. not much of a need to replace it unless i find something dirt cheap to try for fun. i've picked up a handful of newer bows and sold them since i bought that new from a shop.

Old thread. might make a new one. i just bought that grinder. used gift cards, card points, 5% back for using card, 10% back for just being a club card member, plus they had free express shipping (no over weight or size upcharge either). hope it works well and lasts. it should.

two dead heads come to mind. one that was just a 2.5 yr old that neighbors didn't recover that we found in our swamp/sanctuary, but was the most interesting. it had 7 teeth on one side vs 6. then the other 5.5 yr old i've posted here that had stupid mass (not our property).

nice shooting Larry. can't help but think the whole WNY crew is going out to buy a new Ritual (if that's what you ended up getting).
-
i don't bother with pin knocks unless they come on the shafts normally. this all common from what i've found. for my 3D bows i typically run two black and one flo yellow for blazer vanes and that's usually enough with or without a black nock.

coming really close to buying a crossbow. CamX makes some nice ones too.

it's really hard to get a 1911 like platform in a smaller frame to work right i've found out. Kimber and Sig seem to be very good at it. When I bought a couple pistols last I almost got a Kimber Ultra Aegis for the wife. Nice gun.

glocks have 3 actually.

so i stopped in there the other day. friend i know was working and i had a $10 store credit coupon that's been sitting in my email for a while. i checked with customer service and they said it was still good. had to as i have no idea how to sign into my score rewards account anymore with not using it or really going there. i picked up a pack of replacement belts for my WorkSharp that was $9.99 (not much is $10 there). Talked to my buddy, who said the plan is to close 20 stores that aren't doing well, but the Field & Stream locations where staying for now. Chatted with him about other stuff. Asked him to order me an AR. He laughed and said can't do it. Then I left. Since I've gotten about $500 worth of Cabelas stuff. That's all the updates I've got. -

If your bow is several years old or you have a low end bow then this is the bow to get. Itd shoot like a wet dream compared to what you're used to. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

most good shooters practice often and tinker with equipment settings. Have to keep all those stabilizer muscles toned up and equipment dialed in the best possible for your own form. It's rare to shoot something you hate though. Models change year to year and you give up the new one you dont like as much as soon as possible once the next flagship model comes out. you always use something which youre promoting that you know works though. Best deal I passed up was shooting for Bear and repping a shop. Just couldnt push others to their shop knowing I didnt live close and hadn't experienced their service myself. I wouldve got as much Bear stuff as I wanted for half cost. Cheaper than shop could get the stuff. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

i'm a pretty passive non-confrontational individual. it's served me well despite my run ins with people acting like an ass. i've taken drinks to the head, had a car full of toolboxes cat call my wife on occasion throughout my life. I've taken Tae kwan do and boxing but have never needed to use any of it. repercussions drastically different in my older years being a pistol permit holder and with open ended NY laws. Besides there's always someone out there bigger, stronger, or with more skill to give you an a$$ whoopin. unless you're defending yourself it's just not worth it. Moog brought up a great point. times have changed and you never know how far the the other person is going to take it. it's no longer a good old brawl between boys.
