Just got a email from someone about a problem they are having, here it is IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM HEVI-SHOT CEO, RALPH NAUMAN At temperatures below freezing, our 12-gauge, 3-inch HEVI-Metal® and HEVI-Steel® shotshell wads may crack on ignition. This may cause a "squib load", with an off sound and reduced power. While this squib load will not damage your gun in any way, it can result in a wad stuck in your barrel, because the force of some of these shells may not be strong enough to push the wad all the way out of the muzzle. The danger comes if you fire again without clearing a stuck wad from your barrel. This can cause barrel damage or injury. If you hear an off sound with no power, please stop shooting! First, unload your gun - and then check your barrel for obstructions before you fire again! Please do not shoot these shotshells. Instead, please contact us for replacement shells. We have fixed this problem in current production. After we were contacted about squib loads, we began an intensive investigation that led to an understanding of the problem by the evening of 19 November. We want to get this notice out to our customers immediately. Please share it with your hunting friends. The wads we bought between July and mid-November used a low-density polyethylene plastic. We switched yesterday to a linear low density polyethylene, which performs safely in all weather, including very cold weather. To understand the difference, please go to: http://www.primepolymer.co.jp/english/technology/material/pe/05.html Only 12-gauge, 3-inch HEVI-Steel or HEVI-Metal® shotshells with these lot numbers may have the problem: 201576 - 201584 301571 - 301609 401335 - 401345 500001 - 500016 201600 - 201637 301643 - 301659 401381 - 401422 201640 - 201659 301672 - 301689 401437 - 401463 201665 - 201671 301698 - 301701 401466 - 401486 201677 - 201680 301713 - 301722 401489 - 401504 201683 - 201699 301725 - 301726 401507 - 401519 201702 - 201722 301730 - 301734 201732 - 201736 The lot number is stamped on the inside top flap of your box of shotshells. Our highest priories are your safety and your satisfaction with our products. We will do everything we can to get you the product you deserve if you contact us for replacement shells. For your safety, when you contact us we will arrange to have UPS pick up your unused shells (please put them in a shippable cardboard box such as our master carton) at no charge to you, and we will ship your replacement shells to you at no charge. My friend did on a bear in Maine this year, was a bloodbath!! He had so much blood on the barrel the guide though he spined him and he bleed off right there!!
-
Yea better safe than sorry!!

We take and do stews, soups, mac and cheese and whatever else we like and put them in gallon ziplok bags for dinners.Easy packing in and out.For breakfast do sausage biscuits and gravy, home fries and pancakes. We use paper plates and burn after a meal.Metal forks and spoons and clean after eating (don't burn plastic fine china!!) past that kill some deer and do the loins over the campfire, that's the meal you want to spend time on !!

Do we get special nuisance permits for illegal alien deer?
-
could be a long time, just think when you use a drag rag with estrous scent how late they can come in.Because the rut is winding down he may be playing it a little safe also.Is your scent going the way the does came from?Hang in there it could be your best night

They quite making it a few years back from what I remember. Its one of the guns I would love to own. When I was in Maine in September one of the other guys in camp bought one at a gun shop for 500.Super nice handling gun from what I felt
-
You better throw a warning up for half the crossbows out there then!! Good heads up but from what I have seen doing research over half the crossbows out there are over the 200lb limit
-
Dont get me wrong BELO I think its great he got him but I have watched friends with a grin ear to ear get down to take a pic and throw the BADASS face on for the camera only to switch back to the elated person he was 2 minutes before pics.
-
I dont or never will understand the frown "badass" face guys do when they are holding a deer.WTF is wrong with people, after the shot did you just walk up and go "ho hum I shot a awesome buck, time to sit back down and scratch my nuts" hell no you hooped, hollered, celebrated, called friends and had a heart rate that would peg most RPM gauges in a truck!!! I know whenever I shoot a deer I am elated and I always have a smile on my face.Maybe I am the weird one??!!
-
I say if they hunt the line you should hunt the line if you want.We had a trespasser cut across our property opening day without letting anyone know. Its a safety thing with me.If I see a deer and I know where the people on my lease are then I feel a little safer about shooting in a given direction, now throw the F'tard that wheres full camo into the mix that jumps a deer past one of us and what happens?I respect boarders, but I will also hunt the edge, the trigger doesn't get touched till the deer is on my property though.

Cool I will look you up in a few weeks. Thanks

I read where one guy uses a tree cover behind his seat so its not so loud with the rubbing.I think this will be my late christmas present to me after I am done shopping for the rest of the family this year
-
I had the HBS but hated the bulk and the IWOM looks perfect with the arms out. What are some of the negatives of it phade?
-
I will be trying the IWOM next time arounf.Right now my stand hunter coveralls work great though
-
This!! I don't have a ton of luck but the last few weeks of the year always seem better to me.Maybe because I am shaking it up a bit and trying different things or any other reason you want to pick but I seem to have more deer sightings in general later in the season.

I lease 2 places in Oswego county and they range for 250 for 75 acres(1/2 crops,1/2 woods) and 800 for 95 acres(1/3 overgrown grass fields,2/3 woods small swamp. For 400 I would find a few friends and go in on it.Start at 1000 and go up from there.I would also try and get a price from them first.

I know a couple of bow hunters that will make you cringe also!! Like the guy that blows the dust off of his bow opener eve and heads to the woods without firing a shot.
