Maple syrup buckets wanted
Otto replied to dinorocks's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
@dinorocks I check the hardware store in DeRuyter, NY https://www.countrysidehardware.com/ They do on occasion have used tin buckets, but there are none in stock at the moment. They said to call back on occasion and see if any show up. They also have a good supply of other maple sugaring equipment in stock right now. Hopefully the contact from @BowmanMike comes through! -
Maple syrup buckets wanted

Dino, so sorry to see this, especially after all your hard work and craftsmanship on that structure. I’m with Biz -I’d buy a few buckets for you if you have a source. Maybe a GoFundMe is in order? Theres a hardware store not too far from me that specializes in maple syrup equipment. I’ll call tomorrow and see what they have as far as buckets go. -
A nasty tendon too. I try to get all that out, but leave all the rest. One of my favorite cuts and so much to do with it!

The Law Change To Add 1/2 Hour Before & 1/2 Hour After
Otto replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Deer Hunting
On my property, my buddy took a buck 15 minutes before sunrise and my nephew took one 15 minutes after sunrise. So it was helpful for them. Most of my deer sightings or contacts were at the usual times, an hour or two after sunrise, or an hour or two before sunset. The 1/2 hour before or after didn’t change anything for me this year, but I know it will be helpful to me at some point in the future. There were a couple of times where even right at sunset it was dark enough to not hunt. -

That does look delicious! This thread is finally turning towards things I can appreciate. PS: Larry is not a dick. And all things being equal I would gut the deer asap, but any I need can do whatever they like. That’s why I like cutting my own deer. If the meat is bad, you’ll find out sooner or later and it won’t be pretty. -

Dam Tacks, that’s a beauty! Congratulations! Do you think he is related to Buckles? -
Not a good start to the new year for sure. Condolences to you and your family.

Hunted from noon till dark today. Slow walk in the pines and nothing seen. Found a climber and a cell trail cam dead center in the middle of the new property, so I left a note to remove before the end of the month. I figure with the cell cam, they would know someone discovered it. It was in very thick area, I was surprised I found it! -
That’s my issue too. If I look at the PSA website the value of this card could be over $2000. Or it could be $100 or even less…… I just need someone I can trust that can help me turn this piece of cardboard into a gun! I’ll look into sending it to PSA for appraisal.

I had no idea COKE and KO were different stocks for the same product. Wish I had COKE instead of KO....... -
It has his 1958 stats as the latest listed. does that make it a 1959 or 1958 card? I have no idea on how to grade. There are no bends of wrinkles, edges are sharp, the back is yellowed a bit.
-
Pretty sure it is an original. It was in that plastic protective case when I found it. It is pretty yellowed.

This card has been kicking around in my desk for over 25 years. It was left behind from a "Baseball Card Show" we used to host at our hotel back in the day when we had a ballroom. It has to have some sort of value I would imagine???

Well, to be fair, it wasn't actually his bow, as it was a Lefty. I think he found it at Goodwill and decided to turn a quick profit on it. -

My first compound bow from @The_Real_TCIII five years ago. Archery opened up a whole new world to hunting for me and really rekindled the interest I have for it. The fact that it was a Mathews helped, lol! Now I look forward to October 1 with high anticipation, rather than having to wait 6 or 7 weeks for gun season to start. I have to thank him for posting that in the Classifieds and his help in getting me started and set up properly. The second thing that comes to mind, which didn't cost me a dime, is this website forum. Not only have I learned a ton of things about hunting, I do enjoy the comradery and fellowship that this site offers. Yes, it can be a cranky and dark place sometimes, so I just skip that section or conversation because I am really only interested in the "outdoor" aspects of it. I have also been lucky enough to fish and or have a beer with some of the very best people on this site and I hope to meet many more others in the future. -
Happy Birthday Jay!

Nice and wet this afternoon, so I took a long slow walk through the pines. Nothing seen. Sat the last hour in my Taj Mahal and stayed warm and dry. Nothing bumped on the way home either. I hope to get out 1 or 2 afternoons this week, and hopefully Saturday too. -

From last night...... thanks Chef for the Sea Bass assist, it was the most liked entree. No pics, but we also had sushi, shrimp risotto, baked salmon, and fried haddock. We went way over the required 7 fishes! Today is bolognese lasagna, will try to picture that too. Merry Christmas to everyone! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

We just started our league the week after Thanksgiving. I am officially shooting recurve this year. Tis humbling.

I expect to open three new pairs of the regular Duluth’s tomorrow morning. My favorite undies.
