I have some clover seed that I want to frost seed on an existing clover plot.. Is it too early ? Is there a potential danger of seeding it while we are having this unseasonably warm weather ? I's like to broadcast it in the next few days if possible...

They are out and about... 3 days ago my buddy and I ( or more likely his 3 beagles) jumped one from his bed in a brush lot..We did not see the bruin, but the tracks told the story.. Today The Mermaid and I were up on her property working and we came across another set of bear tracks.. Signs of spring..I also saw a bluebird today..Time to get my nest boxes cleaned out and evict the mice that have been freeloading there this winter..

Don't be afraid to contact some hunting consultants/booking agents. These folks get paid by the outfitters to drum up business for them, and usually it costs no more to book a hunt through them than to book it on your own. Tell them what kind of hunt you are interested in and how much you can afford to spend. They are also very helpful in getting your tags, maps, etc. I have used Butch Mannasse Outdoor Adventures several times with good results, but a search will find you several others. It doesn't cost a dime to talk to them and see what they have to offer.

What Moogie said.....I have several acres in clover and I have birds in it every spring, grazing, strutting and bugging.. Actually, I bought the clover seed through NYSNWTF's seed subsidy program .. It is called " RUT-N-STRUT" and it is a blend of 4 or 5 different species of clover.

I used to fish steelies some but it tended to bring me bad luck.. In 1994, I was smoking some steelhead filets and due to a freak accident, I burned my house down..My wife wouldn't let me smoke fish after that. Then in 2004 I totaled my new (17,000 miles) truck on my way out to Erie Pa steelhead fishing...

Yeah, Grampy, a friend turned me onto those sandwiches a couple of years ago..They have run the 2 for $5 special during Lent the last few years. I'm not a big fast food fan ( although I do admit I have a weakness for KFC original Recipe) but IMHO the Arby's fish is very good. I looked up the species of fish that used awhile back..It is either pacific cod or Pollock, I can't remember which...

My favorite is Arby's crispy fish...Currently they are on special, 2 for $5.... Cheap supper for me and The Mermaid, and no dishes to wash, either...
