Nothing going on this morning ..No crows, very few songbirds, and notably not a single gobble... Pulled the plug at 10:30....Maybe they'll gobble tomorrow, or the next day, or the etc.etc.

I think May 30th is the latest I have killed a tom in NY..However, I have killed a few on the final day of several out of state hunts...The last day I had to hunt, not the last day of season.. On the other hand, I can remember at least two that I missed on my final day of hunting in Ontario..

Oh I can remember it alright, but The Mermaid has problems with words of over two syllables...I think it came from learning to read in a one room country schoolhouse by word ID rather than phonics... She honestly does not know how to sound words out...No lack of intelligence...People here who have met her are aware that she is an articulate person....Just a quirk of her early education I.E. learning of reading.... Heck, my ex-wife had a master's degree in teaching of reading, and she couldn,t spell worth a s**t...

Looks great Eddie...Makes you look ten years younger... I wore facial hair for most of my adult years, always during deer season and gobbler season and often in between...Then I hooked up with The Mermaid and she says she doesn't LIKE facial hair... The odd thing is that she gets all moist watching Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck on TV...Go figure.....

They are best hunted using a phone booth for a blind... LOOK !! Up in the SKY !! Is it a bird ? Is it a plane ? No It's SUPERBILL....!!!... Faster than a speeding timberdoodle......More powerful than a gym full of Karate experts...Able to leap tall woods roads in a single bound !!

I haven't hung on Bowsite lately, since my out of state hunts are largely a thing of the past... I got a ton of good info back in the day, however... Set up several great hunts with info gained mostly from there.... There is a contingent of bowhunting snobs there, however who would quit talking to you if they learned you were a gun hunter... They were a minority, however..Most of the guys were good guys..Made some good friends there...
