I do hunt with some "weekend warriors" ever once and again...THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE CURRENT REGS ARE and will not concern themselves with the new ones either. Hell, some of my regulars had no idea thta ARs exist in NY. It's only those who pay attention to the sport that would be affected

The system we bought her looks like an old turntable and plays records. It also plas CDs and has a radio...I was pissed that she got rid of her original when selling the house but the replacement sounds pretty good.

Perry Como -"No Place Like Home for the Holidays" stil listen to his album on vinyl when decorating my mothers tree. after the CD version sounded fake, we went and bought her a record player just for that experience

I asked my wife for some nice wool socks in my stocking (ironic huh?) based off of some of these posts regarding cold feet. She was hunting (for my socks today) and every pair she found in LL Bean, gander, dicks, etc stated tha they were only at most 10% wool(I think those were Merinos)...so, I need wool sock recommendations

Hell Mohansic lake in FDR didn't lock up until very late last year which is a go-to for some crappy, yellows and catch and release BIG bass...I also like Canopus Lake up by Fahnstock-

Buying some booze this evening after hunting I was in line and two older gents were chatting away about ice fishing. I am always amazed when i run into people who ice fishing my area-Westchester - hard water is real tough to come by - we haven't had an all-out, every lake/reservoir lock up in years.

Back at it in westchester / first snow that held to the ground of the season - only a few inches- no tracks on the way in so I hope they head through after laying down all day - there's one large oak leaf 50 yards away that keeps swaying in the breeze- every time it moves, my head yells, TAIL GET READY! There are few things greater than snow days as a kid - as a teacher, it may be GREATER! I'm sure there are plenty of people who will be riding me about this; HATERS HATE as the kiddies say! I'm off to the Westchester woods with bow in hand!

Ok,maybe this is a city thing but I'd rather not have my backyard smell like piss. Especially since it where we eat the majority of meals from April-September. Everywhere else outdoors all evacuations are cool with me just not where I eat and my kids play
