I never bothered to see what this deerlogic was all about. So it's a computer software to help hunters pattern deer, so they can better hunt them?? What kind of crap is that? Can't we do anything without computer help?? Pretty soon some clown will be trying to pawn off an a$$ wiping device that we can take out into the woods with us. Of course it will be remote control via our smart phones. We won't even have to get down from our treestands probably. Just poo from the stand into a scent controlled bucket below and then keep your butt stuck out there until something slides up the tree to wipe it!! LOL God bless American ingenuity!

Benghazi
steve863 replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
It's been proven over and over again in that region, that democracy CANNOT prevail. Everyone gets excited when brutal regimes fall in Egypt, Libya, Iraq and elsewhere, only for other regimes to take over that are even worse. Why on earth are we wasting money and lives for these countries and people?? Until they prove to us that they can act like civilized human beings, I would NOT spend one red cent or a minute of our time with any of them. They want to live like barbarians, they can go right ahead. No need for us to deal with their crap. If they somehow harm us on our soil or in other countries we can easily level any one of them with air power and missiles. No need to put even ONE American foot soldier on their stinking sand dune grounds. -
Benghazi

Maybe we could have done a better job to protect that embassy, but I will agree with Sits and others that we need to pull EVERYONE out of these fleabag countries. They aren't only bombing our embassies and killing ambassadors, but also killing other American personnel. Hell, we are training the military and police in Afghanistan and then they shoot us in the back with the weapons we gave them. How the F*@&k do we defend ourselves from that?? The honest freaking answer is that we CAN'T. We can't trust any damned one of them, so the only sure way to defend ourselves is to get the hell out and let them massacre, burn, shoot, stab each other to their hearts content. Hopefully they will all kill each other off without us having to be in the middle of it. -
It took 36 years, but it finally happened....

Yeah, hanging around this forum too much can be hazardous to ones health. LOL -
I think this is the effect his mother was trying to get by telling him to sit by the window.
-
I just love how he gets a nice, even matching cut on the other side of the pumpkin. LOL Reminds me of a Rodney Dangerfield joke. He said that his family was too poor to afford a pumpkin so his mother told him to sit by the window so that only his head was visible on the outside. LOL

Trump makes Obama an offer...
steve863 replied to SteveNY's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
No, the only choice in this election is which candidate we think stinks less. That's about it. The people who want to work WILL work no matter who the president is. Those who get handouts will continue to get them. Not like any republican president has ever gotten rid of welfare and neither would Romney. -
Trump makes Obama an offer...
steve863 replied to SteveNY's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Interesting you bring this up. Didn't Ryan have Obama videotaped and followed when they were running for the Senate against each other? Weren't those tactics used to try to destroy someone too?? My view is that he got the taste of his own medicine. As the old saying goes, "if you play with $#!+, your fingers will smell." LOL -
Trump makes Obama an offer...
steve863 replied to SteveNY's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Man, this is funny. Trump is simply trying to stir up $#!+ that honestly most people don't care about. He knows that Obama will never release these records, thus he is trying to look like he is such a generous person by offering money to charity. If he had the slightest reason to think that Obama might actually release these records he sure as hell wouldn't be offering it, I can assure everyone of that. Nothing but a publicity stunt, by someone who can't get enough. What he doesn't realize is what an a$$ he makes of himself in the process. -
NY Liberalism explained
steve863 replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
No, he's not a troll. That's VJP the resident patriot. Haven't heard from him for a while. I think he lives in a bomb shelter 40 feet underground with 10,000 rounds of ammo, just in case the liberals and commies come after him. Probably had a hard time getting an internet connection down in there, so he must have climbed out. LOL -
Doe, don't forget we are black, so no need to put a bullet thru yourself to claim a disability. We are already on the "welcome" list by our skin color alone. LOL Although maybe with a disability we could get use of his cabin also?
-
See, we knew that Burt was a democrat, thus we knew he would be open to having Africans on his property. We knew not to even bother with a typical redneck hunter, because we knew we'd never be welcome. LOL He welcomes everyone. Blacks, women, the disabled, you name it. I can just see some of the redneck hunters here putting a bullet thru their foot and then claiming a disability just to get invited to hunt Burt's red hot hunting property! Wouldn't pass it by them. LOL
-
Great job, congratulations!! Even an average sized bear would cost more than I am willing to pay to have a rug made out of it!
-
Just make sure to drag it by it legs. I've been told that it's disrespectful to throw a rope around it's neck. LOL
-
Dave, maybe you saw this photo on another thread. That's me and Doe with a nice buck we shot off Burt's property! LOL
-
Burt, I really think me and Doe need to come up there again and cull some of those deer for you. Seems like you are overrun with deer up there. We'd be more than happy to help you out!!
-
OK, I'll be good, but Pygmy isn't making any promises. I bet an adult Ibex is as tough as shoe leather.

New hunters need to be prepared for "after the shot"
steve863 replied to PWGUNNY's topic in Deer Hunting
If hunting on public land, I would make sure the deer is hidden if I was to leave it and go to my vehicle first before I dragged it out. Leaving it easily visible on a logging road or trail is not a good idea. You may go back and not find anything, and in most cases it probably wasn't stolen by a bear or coyotes but by something that walks on 2 legs. -
My question would be why they assume an Ibex would breed with a deer?? This would be similar to a bighorn sheep breeding with a deer. Maybe a deer could produce young if inseminated by an Ibex in captivity, but I bet it's next to impossible in the wild.
-
So we go out and do our damndest to murder a deer and then we disembowel it and then drag it for God knows how long and then we are worried about disrespecting when it's hanging from a tree? Man, that is funny.

Officer Killed (This should be close to home for some of you)
steve863 replied to bushnell's topic in General Chit Chat
OK, so the driver who caused the initial accident was under the influence, but the cop was hit by another car that was driving by. However, it looks like the driver who was under the influence and caused the initial accident is now getting hit with manslaughter charges. OK, he was drunk and caused the mess, I can understand that, but how about if it was a legitimate accident where no one was under the influence and then another car came by to hit the cop in the same way?? Who would be to blame then? I'm sure it wouldn't have been the people involved in the initial accident. I have no mercy for drunk drivers, but it looks like this drunk driver is getting punished big time. -
And then you could have made another order buying fifty 10 round mags, and twenty 30 round mags and they would never know about it. The NYC laws are just a money making scheme for NYC and nothing more. Believe it or not, long gun registration has been in effect since the late 60's in NYC. Just mind boggling how the NRA, or anyone else hasn't challenged the constitutionality of these laws. They only make it hard for the law abiding people to get guns and do JACK to prevent crime. Of course the clowns like Bloomberg and Kelly will tell you that they are stopping criminals. BS! I can't get over Kelly gloating over that terrorist they claim they caught yesterday. Another BS story. They practically spoonfed everything to this guy, and then they think they caught a major terrorist. What BS. The guy would have done $#!+ or gone nearly as far as he did without the help of the FBI, NYPD, etc. All a freaking sham just to once again pat themselves on the back.

Looking for a track driver rifle.. opinions??
steve863 replied to apoallo's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
300 yards or more is a LONG bloody shot, I don't care who you are, or what gun or ammo you are shooting. I just love all those youtube videos of these guys putting animals down at 700, 800, or more yards. I call it BS and irresponsible behavior. They show us the one kill they made, but of course won't show the dozens of misses or woundings before they finally connected. In my mind it's a crying shame that you have some magazines and TV shows promoting this long distance gunning of game animals.
