Thought I'd post a link for the crossbow regs and Crossbow Certificate of Qualification, incase someone forgets to pick up a hard copy of the regulations guide. Just have to read the regs, fill out the certificate, and carry afield. http://www.dec.ny.gov/docs/wildlife_pdf/14crossbows.pdf

He brought his friends this time

Good God!! What a tease!!! -
Oh Beaver Wooly!!

During gun season, I am head to toe in blaze orange camo! (OK, not my boots!) Even on my own property!! Never once had any indication that I was spotted by deer, because of the orange, and I've had them just a few feet away before!

Pygmy - Don't get too excited! Wooly must be bored, as he's kicking up very old velvet shedding/hard horned posts! If you look at the date this post was created, it's Sept. 3rd, 2012! If someone doesn't pay attention to the dates on the origional posts, I can just imagine the chatter around the water cooler today! "I heard and saw pics of bucks shedding velvet already this year!!!" And we can all blame Wooly!!!

How the hell did this post get resurrected after almost 3 years?? My last pic was from 2007. I was talking to a neighbor in 2012 about bucks that seem to fall off the face of the earth and mentioned this piebald. He showed me a pic of another neighbor (~2 miles away) with the piebald that he killed during gun season in 2007! Sure enough! It was this one! Guess that explains his absence over the past few years!

He's a beauty! Dude, you're spoiled!!! LOL Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

Still waiting for mine and my son's to arrive. We usually get them before licenses go on sale, so not sure what the hold up is this year.

Yeah, was not expecting that! Needed a good laugh though!

A freekin' giraffe for me?? Who the hell wants to be a dopey giraffe!?!?

Deadline nears for voter registration
Cabin Fever replied to Doc's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Thanks for the heads up! I picked up a voter registration form for my son (now old enough), but haven't been in any big rush to fill it out and mail it in! I'll get that done today! -
Good God! Seems like you always have a nice crop to choose from!
-
Good God man!! All from one pull? SWEET!!

Nice bucks, regardless of what they score!

These guys sure make daytime coon calling look fun! The TBR Outdoors guys were suppose to have a whole DVD out of daytime coon calling, but I have yet to find it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6TA1R1IDpQ

Very nice!! It sure looks like it could be the same one to me. Same looking brow tines. He sure had a growth spurt!

Never heard of Runnings. Looking forward to checking it out though. It's location is pretty convenient too!

They didn't close it, just built a new building (almost next to it) and moved there when they made it a supercenter.

Wish I was experiencing that! I would say average to below average in my area.

The Best Buy In Bow Hunting
Cabin Fever replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Great job on the review! Thanks for posting! I must admit, I probably never would have given them a second thought before seeing your review. They certainly appear to do the job just as well as the top dollar mechanicals! -
First time seeing these two bucks.

The resume has been polished up and I've had a few compliments on the resume from employers so far. LOL Just no solid bites...
-
Thanks for the tips NSNH! Good stuff!

Thanks! That's exactly what I was concerned about! The company just sent out a widespread distribution email saying that "46,000 of our companys employees have LinkedIn profiles" and asked, "Why LinkedIn knows more about us than our company does"! LOL Still might be worth it for the networking...

Been out of the job market for the past 22 years, but have recently decided that I need to start a new job search. I've been told that LinkedIn is a great tool for making job connections. Looking for user experiences using LinkedIn for such purposes, before I bother creating a profile and such? A lot has changed with job searches in the past 22 years! Sheesh....
