Guess that depends on how much you shoot it. I'm 3rd generation to own my .220 Swift, so it's easily 50+ years old, and it still has it's original barrel. The thing is a tack driver too!

Oh hell no! Poof.... Gone!

I have both, but would hands down choose the .220 swift! Great range and hows no mercy on groundhogs! LOL I use to hunt in Pa. and some youth and women would use the .220 for deer. Granted, there's better choices out there, but the .220 will do the job!

Great find! You're lucky day!

I'm mainly interested in selling 1oz silver bars and old silver dollars. I did some research last spring and sorted the silver coins out from the rest. Prices are way down now, from where they were a few years ago. I don't need to sell now, but I just want to have a game plan for when I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Looking to turn some silver into "green". Been looking around for my options. I see some jewelry stores buy it and have also seen a lot of those shady looking little store front type shops with signs. Curious if anyone else has sold any gold or silver and what their experience was like? Any advise? I know the prices aren't the best right now, but I would at least like to come up with a game plan, for when I am ready to sell.

New Video - Predator Problems
Cabin Fever replied to downwindoutdoors's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Love all the videos from Downwind Outdoors! Keep layin 'em out! Amazes me how you guys can successfully call so many coyotes in the daylight! Is morning or evening more productive? -
I've found that some rifles like them better than others. I believe Ruger recommends that you don't use them in the 10/22. (Jamming?)

I got my daughter a Remington 870 20ga. Recoil is minimal. Didn't even notice it when she shot her first turkey with it last spring.

Had trailcam pics of a 6pt last March still packin' it's rack.

I've had enough.....

That's according to the latest NYON (sorry, no link). 1. Guess those "pesky" youth hunters didn't do as bad as some believed they would, ya know, shooting anything that moved. Remember, so many people fearing going into the woods that weekend? Props to the hunter safety instructors, the youth hunters, and mentors! 2. The addition of rifles in new areas didn't increase hunting related accidents, like so many feared they would. See, the sky didn't fall afterall.... HUH.

NICE!! Curious. Do you see pairs or packs running together or do they scatter when the dogs are chasing them?

Recovering lost or stolen items (trail cams)

If my son had an iphone, I'd probably get a tile or two for him. The kid is constantly misplacing his keys and wallet! -
Sad thing is, he's about as accurate and reliable as most weathermen, and he didn't even go to college!

Happy Birthday!

NICE! Do you mainly use shotguns or rifles? What loads work well in shotguns to put 'em (and HOLD 'EM)down?

I have 1/2 mile lane at camp that I plow with my tractor and back blade. Not ideal, but it gets 'er done...
