Wait... I'm still confused. There is no area in NY that I know of (4U which is southern zone or any other) that has gun deer season open in September, the earliest deer is early bow in northern zone that starts on Sep 27.... am I drinking a bad moonshine...??? :-) If you can, send me the link to DEC website that says that so I can get educated... Thanks
-
Pardon the interruption, I might be too confused from watching College Football tonight, but where in the NY world gun deer season starts on Sep 3? Just curious, please educate me... Only season that I know is open according to DEC is Squirrel, Snipe and Crow ....

I guess McGregor got some conditioning to do, not a good start for a boxer. You can't argue with 50-0 Money Mayweather... just saying...

Thanks diplomat019, got it now. Why did they make it more complicated? I wish they would bring sportsman license back, one thing to pick , one fee...thank you very much...
-
Nice one....

I must be daft tonight but where do I get bow hunting license on the dec decals website? The only choice I have is hunting or trapping and no additional privileges both of them come to $42 where is the option for bow (additional $15) and muzzleloader? Am I missing something?

Really depends where you go, my buddies and I go there every year to Schroon Lake area so Hoffman Notch and Pharaoh Lake is where is at for us... ADK is huge so if you hike a bit you won't see another soul but that comes with the territory just be smart and get the bases covered. No pressure at all if you go deep, just remember you will have to drag that "bad boy" all the way back or make arrangements before hand. This is not your daddy's hunting grounds, this thing can kill you so use your head and get organized. Make sure your camp knows where you at or where you supposed to be. Cell phone coverage is spotty, don't count on that. This is old school land: maps, compass, know where you are and plan ahead. A lot of work but really really worth it. We are lucky we live in this great state (minus the politicians :-))

Many of us downstate live close to NJ border. Is anyone here that owns NJ out-of-state CCW? I know Jersey is a lost cause due to "justifiable need" but was just wondering if anyone here ever accomplished that lofty goal or have any experience dealing with NJ State police and local LEO in order to get the CCW. I'm about to sign a new work contract and it is in NJ, I would have check myself twice before I hit the road every time, frustrating. Anyone's experience with NJ handgun laws is appreciated.

I see a car "accident" in his future... :-) Just saying...

what's the damage these days?

I read about this few times and on the surface it makes sense, did anyone try that and if so, feel any better? For those unfamiliar, grounding/earthing is connecting yourself to the ground wire in your house while working at your desk or sleeping, the equivalent of walking bare foot on the ground, no shoes no socks, just your feet touching the ground absorbing the energy from the earth (think walking on the beach). Allegedly the earth has the same "magic powers" as the sun does. Energy from the earth is the basic idea. Sounds a bit too "pointy aluminum hat" to me, but hey, on the flip side our doctors tell us that we need statins for the rest of our lives... so who knows. Just wondering if anyone here did some experimenting if so, what ya think?

Dutchess County, close to CT border. Wingdale, NY

I would... what you have in mind? .18 is cents is pretty low plus no shipping cost to you... since you are in Westchester
-
Howdy folks, have some 9mm to unload, let me know if you need some...0.18 cents per round $9 per box of 50 I have about 2K to get rid of. It's the stock from FreedomMunitions, reman but brass cases...

Grampy, I will probably repeat myself, but here is the problem, you put NYC and sense in the same sentence... just look who is running this joint.... nuff said....
