Went out yesterday myself, one last doe for the season.

Making up about 20lbs of country venison sausage for Christmas, the production is more fun than the eating.

42/8 subway, good thing is no one was hurt but himself, badly injured but will survive. Now he spends the rest of his life in a 6x8 Fed lock up, in pain and disfigured.

I experienced that a few years ago, shot a buck right below me, dropped, no wound, no blood nothing. I think I gave him a heart attack.

That fence has gotten more deer so far than me!

Well it’s close to getting out of control, my wife works in cove neck and it’s just a matter of time before she plows into one, I live in Huntington village and a doe ran down my block yesterday while I was racking leaves.

Incident happened in Nassau County. He could have lived to a ripe old age, no hunting, coyotes etc, just cars.

FYI, turkey was not the main course at the first Thanksgiving, But actually venison. The Wampanoag indians supplied 5 deer to the pilgrims, I guess November was still bow season then. Happy Thanksgiving!

So I finally bought a cam and placed it facing a rub & scrap, wow, I’m hooked, got about 40 pics of deer I never knew were there. I love the “Selfie Spike”.

I disagree. I've taken 4 bears in Sullivan County, were finishing up the meat on the bear I got last year, the last 2 bear stews have been awesome, after 20 yrs, my wife has gotten it down pat.

That record will stand for a long time as the new Governor elect, A big supporter of PETA, has said he's going to impose a moratorium on any future bear seasons in favor of "non lethal" methods. NJ sportsmen are F'd, back to the old days.

I️m hunting Long Island today and my wife who works in oyster bay Nassau county, sends me this pic she took of a buck standing next to her car, and he can’t be touched.
