The great thing about being on the archery team is unlike all the other events, it doesn't require you to be in the gym 4 hours a day 7 days a week. I can handle that.

Damn squirrels are attacking my garden, Digging up the seeds I planted ,I tried the rat traps with peanut butter. Slammed several in the head, But they always got away. Lived to fight another day.

I was in Ireland last week, the country is gearing up for the big anniversary. It's all over Dublin. I stopped in at the GPO, general post office, to see the memorial. Very moving.

I bought a Parker eagle 2 years ago, had a Hoyt legacy circa 1991 before that. It was like going from a mini van to a Ferrari ! I've taken 4 deer in the last 2 years with the eagle, love the bow.

To understand the man one needs to visit sagamore hill in oyster bay. Almost all authors who have written a book on TR have spent time there to get a feel for the man. Avoid books like Theodore Rex by Edmund Morris, who portrays his passion for hunting as a "blood lust". My wife is the museum curator at sagamore hill NHS so we're a little passionate about the our youngest president here on Long Island.

Seems like a good year for 3H, I saw this big 10 ptr at cochecton , field dressed at 150 lbs. biggest body I've ever seen on a buck, he looked like a Schwarzenegger!

My gun season ended at 7:15. I barely had enough time to settle in, heard him making a scrap inside some mountain laurel then stepped out onto a trail and made a fateful turn towards me.

I was out yesterday, took this guy about 8am, although his tarcel gland was dark and pungent , he was casually walking thru the woods browsing, no sign of rut that I could see.
